View Full Version : Amid all the venting--a more practical concern

Whatever our opinion is, whosever fault it is, our co-captains are gone, and we have to deal with it.
My concern now is that a lot more pressure falls on the younger Sabres. I won't worry about Miller, Campbell, and Tallinder. It's guys like Stafford, Paille, and MacArthur. We were pleasantly surprised when they stepped in for all those injuries. Now they have to step up and essentially replace goals and more importantly the leadership. Is it unfair to expect that of them?

It's also time for the RAV line to stop being the "best 3rd line in hockey" but a legitimate ASH-line kind of threat. Will their progress be far enough for them to do that without the safety net of Briere and Drury?

Leadership has to come from somewhere, and an anonymous Sabre admitted to Pierre Lebrun that the biggest worry is that everything went through Briere and Drury last year. Who's going to seize the day?

LOL...good one, man.

Seriously, though, Jesus had a small frame and Middle Easterners have yet to break into the circuit of international hockey.

Besides, when your policy is to turn the other cheek, your not very good at going into the corners, or skating cross ice at the blue line.

He sounds like he'd fit right in with most of this team.

He did raise a guy from the dead, so think of what he can do on our PP!
