Pete: How'd you find the Range? You're pretty active on the site, especially the War Room. How much time does football take up for you?

Admarc: Pretty much the first thing I did when I got my computer when I started my private practice in 1994 was search for every bit of Bills related info I could find. Eventually, I came across the single best source to feed my addiction for all things Bills related. Pre-internet, being an out of town fan was a pretty hard thing to be. Bills news and fans are precious commodities to find when living in New York City surrounded by Jets and Giants fans, so being able to chat about the team with other passionate fans was and is still a great thrill. I really do love the game to the point of obsession. Pretty much every free moment throughout the day and night I’ll log on in search of Bills or general football news. The draft was something that intrigued me since I was a kid. I used to have to call sports phone between classes to get the picks when the draft used to be held during the week. I am really proud and lucky to be associated with the development of the War Room here on the Range. Everyone on these boards is so knowledgeable about so many different topics it really is an education every time I log on. Merk does an amazing job putting together the profiles and rankings. He obviously is as obsessed as me, but far more knowledgeable than I on prospects around the country. All the other War Room regulars each bring something different to the table that makes it such a great sub forum. EvansRocks doesn’t always get the credit he deserves for his war room contributions. Jaymitch84 has also been a war room workhorse contributing profile threads and sticking it out all the way through our marathon interactive mock drafts. FknGvna, Treydawg, Coastal, Gilchristfan, CoachC, Emo and Finhaven are some other great contributors to the forum, just to name a few.

Pete: Wow. A New Yorker that's a Bills fan. How the hell did that happen?

Admarc: I grew up in the shadows of Shea Stadium and pretty much bled Jets green until they broke my heart and moved to New Jersey to play in Giants Stadium, of all places. This should answer the question for me of whether or not I will still root for the Bills if they ever move to Toronto or elsewhere. The day the Jest moved to New Jersey they stopped being the New York Jets to me. I had visions of Jim Kelly leading the USFL to a merger with the NFL and playing in Shea Stadium ala Joe Namath, but after the league folded and Kelly joined the Bills, I never looked back. Luckily I was up at school in Syracuse at the time and got to see a young team with some potential develop before my eyes on TV every week. I soon switched my allegiance to New York’s one and only football team and now can’t imagine not being a Bills fan. I have come to adopt Buffalo as my home away from home and love the passion the whole city exudes on game day. Of course, I was on board in time for the entire Marv Levy Super Bowl era, which made the switch easy after a rough year or so with Hank Bullogh. The other thing that made the switch from Jets to Bills easier was that I could still hate the Dolphins. Before I got married I talked my friend from Long Island into getting season tickets with me for the Bills second Super Bowl run in 1990-91. We made it up to all but one game including the much underrated Bills – Broncos AFC Championship game.

Now, I make sure to make it up for at least one game a year with my son. It’s great to have the opportunity to share my passion for the game with my son and my younger daughter in the same way me and my Dad enjoyed the games together when I was a kid. The greatest part about sports is that it spans generations.

Pete: What is your favorite pick of the Bills draft? Why?

Admarc: The Poz pick made the whole draft. At a minimum the Bills needed to find a starter at RB and MLB in this draft. I didn’t like the idea of moving Crowell inside. There were essentially 4 LBs from this draft I think are starting quality inside, Patrick Willis, David Harris, Justin Durant and Poz. Although I think Willis is the better LB prospect over all, I felt both Poz and Harris were better against the run in the middle. I feel in our system, Poz will be better inside backer than outside and really will improve the Bills run defense. If you’re going with a defense based on shooting gaps and penetrating inside up front, you better have a guy at middle linebacker who can shed blocks and stack plays at the line of scrimmage. Poz can do that, plus he brings leadership, intelligence and good athleticism.

Pete: Your least favorite pick? Again, why?

Admarc: Trent Edwards was my least favorite pick. There were other players on the board at positions of greater need that I liked more. Tanard Jackson, Brandon Mebane, Zak DeOssie and Damieon Hughes all could have filled pressing needs and represented good value when Edwards was selected. It also worries me that this may be a signal of some concern about JP long term from Bills management. Meaning either the coaches still have some lingering doubts about JP’s ability to lead the team or that they aren’t prepared to pay him if he does break out this year. Developing a QB is the hardest and most critical thing to do in the NFL. So much time and effort needs to be invested that I’d hate to see the Bills have to start all over again. However, if it motivates JP to be better and Trent can be a Frank Reich type player that has some trade value down the road, this pick may prove to be a wise one.

Pete: What's your take on JP Losman? Your gut instinct. Will he be a pro-bowler someday?

Admarc: Since the first time I saw this kid take the field in a meaningless pre-season game, I was of the belief he had the potential to be great. To me one of the best things to watch in all of sport is an NFL QB throw the ball downfield and JP does that as well as any QB in the game today. Every time I see a QB launch a perfect strike I feel like a kid again. JP has rare ability and the kind of competitive nature to succeed at the toughest position in sports. I am really excited by what I think we’ll see out of him this year. With another year under his belt in the same system, an improved offensive line in front of him, with some 4 and 5 receiver formations and the no huddle mixed in we may have some real excitement back at the Ralph. Years 4-8 are really a QBs sweet spot in his career, so with JP going into his 4th year I not only hope for a great year, I expect a Pro Bowl caliber year out of Mr. Losman. If that happens, the Bills will be in the playoffs again.

The next best thing to watching your team develop into a championship team, is watching a young prospect go from the draft to the Hall of Fame, especially at QB. I am fortunate to have rooted for two Hall of Fame QBs in my life. Now, JP has a very very very long way to go to even dare mention HOF and him in the same sentence, but he has the physical potential to be that kind of player for the Bills if he can put it all together. Of course given the choice, give me that Championship.

Pete: Who's the hottest woman on the planet. Wives don't count. Pics please?

Admarc: When I was told that I would be doing a listen up a month ago, I immediately started doing intense research on this topic. I must say my thorough search led me to the conclusion I had from the start. My wife really is the hottest women on the planet, at least to me. So, since that’s not allowed, I asked her for her opinion on the matter. She chose a trio of fellow Latinas:

Sofia Vergera,

and Eva Mendez.

Pete: Play Monday Morning QB now that you know where every player has been selected who would you have selected?

Admarc: If anyone still cares after the last question, here's what I think;) Marv, Modrak and Coach Jauron do an amazing job preparing for the draft and if I was making picks I would have ended up reaching for guys that ended up dropping. No way would I have imagined the Bills could have gotten both Lynch and Posluszny in this draft, so everything else I offer here is purely 20/20 hindsight. The way things played out I would stick with Lynch in the 1st. Then I would have stayed put in the 2nd and taken either David Harris or Poz if he somehow still managed to drop in the 2nd . Then I would have scooped up Brandon Mebane with the first 3rd rounder that was traded to move up, especially now that the Darwin Walker deal fell apart. Then I would have pounced on Tanard Jackson with the 2nd 3rd rounder. I would have liked Dameion Hughes here also. I liked the Dwayne Wright, John Wendling and Dereck Schouman picks so I’d keep them. With the last pick I would have then gone with a developmental QB and taken a flyer on a QB who led his team to an undefeated season, Jared Zabransky. I also liked Matt Gutierezz.

Pete: Who will have a bigger impact this year Lynch or Poz?

Admarc: Lynch. I have a feeling Poz may take a while to hit his stride and would not be surprised if he is not the starter day 1. Poz’s greatest attribute in college was his ability to read defenses and anticipate plays. He’s probably one of the brightest prospects to come out in years. However, he is still a rookie so there will be a learning curve that may cause him to struggle a bit early on. I am sure he will quickly go through that learning curve though, so by mid season we’ll start seeing what kind of player he can be. Running Backs, in general, have the easiest transition from college to the pros. Even though offensive and defensive systems are much more complex and the speed of the game is much greater, a hole is still a hole and the end zones are still 100 yards apart. Lynch will instantly be used as a weapon in the passing game in the slot and spread out wide in the 4 and 5 receiver formations. As the season goes on I expect him to get more and more carries and would not be surprised if he ends up with over 1,500 all purpose yards. Marv surely must have seen some Thurman in Lynch when he pulled the trigger on the pick.

Pete: Which player will we look back 3 years from now and say "wow that was a bad pick"?

Admarc: Ah You and Schouman will have the toughest time making the team, so I’ll say them.

Pete: Which player will we look back 3 years from now and go "wow that was a great pick"?

Admarc: I think both Lynch and Poz will be centerpieces of this team for years to come. Poz has the kind of leadership qualities and personality you build a team around. Lynch has such versatility and an infectious personality that will also help define what this team is about for years to come. I think the Bills now have their triplets in JP, Evans and Lynch.

Pete: Do you agree w/ the trade up for Poz or would you have stayed put?

Admarc: Again, this is pure 20/20 hindsight but I liked David Harris as much as Poz. At the time, not knowing for sure that either Poz or Harris would be there I was ecstatic with the move. I doubt I will ever regret seeing #51 in the middle wearing Red, White and Blue. I was at the draft and when the trade was announced all the Bills fans at Radio City were chanting Poz’s name. I, like many others would have been happy with him at 12, so moving up was a no brainer. However, when Harris slipped to where the Bills where slotted to pick before the trade up, it did get me to think for a second that the Bills could have stayed put gotten Harris and still had their first 3rd round pick.

Pete: Where you for or against the Edwards pick?

Admarc: As mentioned earlier I was against it. However, let me say this, if he develops into a Frank Reich to JP’s Jim Kelly, if he helps keep the fire lit under JPs butt or if he ends up being traded for a high round draft pick a couple of years down the road you will not here any complaints from me.

Pete: Who is the one player you wish we got that we didnt?

Admarc: If you were a War Room regular you’d know I was very high on David Harris, Brian Leonard, Brandon Mebane and Zak DeOssie prior to the draft. I also liked Dameion Hughes, Tanard Jackson and Michael Coe at CB. Now, again with the benefit of hindsight the way the draft played out and in light of the Walker situation, if you substitute Mebane for Edwards I would be pretty excited.

Pete: What is the one position you wished we addressed and didnt? Who would you have selected?

Admarc: Again, DT, with Brandon Mebane who is quick enough to penetrate and stout enough to stuff the run. I also would have liked to address CB with Tanard Jackson in the 3rd.

Pete: Who is the offfensive Rookie of the year going to be? Defensive rookie of the year?

Admarc: If you know me from my writing on these boards you know I am an eternal optimist and a diehard homer. Poz and Lynch have as much chance as any rookies to make an instant impact. Outside of them, Calvin Johnson is really going to be a special player in this league and could be the best WR prospect I ever saw coming out.

Uhhm. Because we have hundreds of regulars and I usually interview more non-staff then staff. LOL

Besides. I've still kept a lot of potential great interviews off the thread so that Listen Up! stays interesting. Just because you haven't been picked yet
doesn't mean that you are low on the list of interview priorities. Know what I mean? I still have some more great one's coming up.

Admarc and Merk are just too damn knowledgeable on football for me to have interviewed them soley.

So, when I decided to post Merk pre-draft, admarc helped with the questions for Merk. When admarc was slated post-draft I asked Merk to return the favor.

Much thanks guys.
