the vice presidency is not part of the executive branch.
although it has the power of executive privilege.
try and figure that one out.

Cheney was just asking for a fight and it appears he's getting one.

Otherwise most Americans could care less. Its sad that when you **** over an intern or a page you get negative attention but when you **** over the American people nobody says anything.

As an unpaid grammarian, as I sometimes find myself at Toastmasters International (TM) meetings, I feel qualified to inform you that the word, "this," from the sentence, "Check that and read this article about the investigation" has no obvious referent.

This article refers to this threads opening link by it's creator.
If you were to do so as I was pointing out to someone other than yourself they might come to understand this article/story is old.
Here's a little piece from this article or link whatever you prefer.
The probe, in its sixth month, began with an investigation into whether administration officials ordered the firings of eight federal prosecutors, for political reasons.
But with senators of both parties already concerned about the constitutionality of the administration's efforts to root out terrorism suspects in the United States, the committee shifted to the broader question of Gonzales' stewardship of Justice and, in particular, his willingness to permit the wiretapping program.

I hope when Cheney croaks they just shove Pelosi in there. It's in the constitution. (Not that that matters much.)

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

You must be either a friggin moron to not realize the seriousness of these charges or you are playing spin doctor. I suspect the later.
In any event, this could make Watergate seem like petty kid's play in comparison. They rifled through communications at one office at the Watergate Plaza and got impeached and removed from office.
This regime is rifling through EVERYONE's communications in the goddamned country. We might witness the historical precedent of a VP or pres actually being convicted of high crimes and spending time in a federal prison.

Actually no. The president appoints a new VP. Pelosi only gets in if both the VP and pres are removed.

Yeah. Go ahead and fiddle while Rome burns. They've already lost SEVERAL federal lawsuits on this.
It doesn't bode well for the neocon regime.

When you are in prison all your mail is opened and read. Why does it not bother you that all of your emails are being scanned?

Because as long as a computer is scanning them he doesn't seem to consider that to be illegal search and seizure.
