yo.
the headstock on my beater acoustic guitar snapped (long story involving beer and an annoying brother in law).
does anyone have a recommendation for a cheap guitar that sounds good?
less than $200 would be ideal. i tend to abuse the things.

These may be too much..I payed like $400 about 8 years ago for one, but it lasted through college and still sounded great until I stepped on it (beers) in the dark about 3 weeks ago. i never really "took care" of it and it lasted though.... They originally sold me by telling me it was made in canada where hardwood was cheaper and so it was of the same quality as a much more expensive, american made, guitar.
I'm going to buy another one when I get some other shit paid off.... highly recommened.
My backup is a old washburn that doesn't sound horrible.
This was the equivilant to the one I had...they're really beautiful to look at too IMO, and mine had a wider fingerboard which was great cause I have big hands

I'd have to agree that Seagulls are a pretty good sound for an inexpensive Guitar.

Sent you a PM. Actually going for $600. But that nerve injury in my arm killed my playing ability. $200 still stands. It's taking up closet space and I really don't need the money. I'd rather it went to someone that used it. It's a fantastic ax. My only worry is that you'll beat the shit out it. LOL.

Any of the canadian made ones are pretty good... they have lots of wood up there so the solid tops are cheaper.
