very quick, likes to get after the QB, needs to work on his strength, doesnt always play the run hard... so i guess hes a lot like Schobel

very well conditioned and clutch. gets faster and stronger with each snap, when his team needs him most he steps up his play even more... when the game was close in the 4th quarter he took over (w/ help from the crowd). eventually he sealed the deal with a sack/fumble leading to a defensive TD. he starting winning me over in the 2nd half with more physicality and sheer dominance.

Had an excellent 4Q
Very impressed w/ him and would be a good fit on our D
Only thing would be I would like to see some more consistancy through the game

kelsay makes 5.7 million and schobel got a new deal, there is no point in scouting a de, for us. we aren't drafting one in the first round.

Who at the beginning of last year thought RB would be our first pick?
at the end of the year who thought we'd take a QB w/ our 3rd round pick?
A lot can happen between now and the draft w/ this roster

Good call. God Forbid Schobel blows out his knee at his age and then all of a sudden DE becomes possibly the top priority

true, though there is no way groves last to a value spot that buffalo can't afford to pass on, not to mention this team is still not good enough to take a player like groves when you have possible holes at dt, lb, cb, c, rg, wr2
I wasn't and continue not to be a fan of the edwards pick, there were talented players that we needed

I agree that DE in not a hole at this moment but this FO has shown its willing to wheel and deal and is also not afraid to sacrafice need on the draft board for a player they have valued higher
I hope some of the problem areas like the right side of the OL get answered so we can start using the draft to Add players instead of using picks to Replace players. Thats when a roster can really start coming together and the depth starts to become really good

Which has been our problem for the last 10 years. We are always replacing players when they leave, not 3 or 4 years before they leave. I hope to God one day we have that luxury. Otherwise, we'll be rebuilding for the foreseeable future.

Do you still feel this way about Edwards? To get a starting qb, although he hasn't proven himself yet, in the 3rd round is a steal.
