Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller has become the latest professional athlete to endorse a rehydration product made by an Amherst company.

Miller has signed on with HealthSport Inc. (OTCBB: HSPO), a maker of Enlyten SportStrips. The strips, which Miller used during the latter part of the 2006-07 season, are designed to replace the electrolytes lost while exercising through a patented delivery system.

Terms of the marketing contract were not disclosed.

Other professional athletes who have signed on as endorsers include Bills quarterback J.P. Losman, Jason Taylor of the Miamai Dolphins, Olympic soccer medalist Brandi Chastain, and Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, whose brother Dan is president of HealthSport.

Taste wise, they are terrible. I have tasted them because I work for the company who is the exclusive distributor for them. But they are designed to work for athletes.
