I am not a big fan of his, but I do remember him always giving us trouble when we play him. Forsberg, I do not think would be as much as Briere because of some of his health questions but I think that he might be worth a look at. Any thought?

Why does that make me mad? I am thinking about players that we could bring in that would still help. Forsberg is a good player (not great) that would prob cost less than Briere.

And he'll be injured for half the season and miss a round of the playoffs as well.

And even if healthy? How much did he help Nashville in the playoffs?

He'd be a huge waste of money. He's so injury prone that its depressing. No thank you.

i dont know if you have watched the flyers or nashville this past season, but forsberg had done nothing to contribute. it doesnt seem like a rational game plan to sign a burnout european player who gave up on a team last year. it's not a serious topic, honestly... there is no way this would happen or SHOULD happen.

he's toast.

if you want a FA that's cheaper than briere and still possesses a wealth of talent, there are tons of better options than forsberg.... not to mention forsberg's timely injuries

This isn't at all a stupid suggestion from the original poster, MP27. Forsberg still averaged a point per game for Philadelphia/Nashville last season, and he's basically good in every dimension of the game. The guy is physical, a playmaker, can handle himself defensively, and he scores big goals.

If Forsberg wanted to come here for $3 million, I'd welcome him with open arms.

Did you watch any of the Predators playoff series? He looked finished. That was the worst trade of the deadline. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. And he won't be much cheaper than Briere. Some idiot will give him 5 million.

I would pick up Forsberg if... he does not get signed during the offseason and spends the season unsigned and healing up his foot. He tries to skate too soon and that foot injury does not heal. Sign around the trade deadline and and get him warmed up over the last month + of the season. Now there is 0% chance he will be unsigned through the summer. So to make a long story short... NO.

He just needs to go back to Sweden and play for daddy so MoDo can get another title.
Then he will retire and go into the HOF.
For such a big guy, he dives too much for my liking.
