Let's read your predictions for the series finale next week. I have every season on DVD and have watched every episode ever made. So, here are my best "educated guesses" as to what may happen.

1) No one in the Soprano family gets whacked. Not Tony, Carm, Meadow, or AJ. This series is about both of Tony's families. It always has been. And it will end with the death of one of his families (the mob family), but the survival of the other (his home family).

2) Somehow, Paulie Walnuts dies. It may be at the hands of Phil's crew, or it may be by Tony himself (because he may be playing both sides and Tony finds out). But there will be a blood bath in the finale and he will be a part of it. Why did Phil's crew make it a point not to whack Paulie? And remember when Paulie was in jail? He became a little too friendly with Johnny Sacks (now Phil's crew).

3) Someone is going to re-appear that we haven't thought about and/or seen in a while to do something drmatic either for or against Tony. Some possibilities:
-Uncle Junior: Why did they have that random scene last episode about him not being able to stay at the psych ward anymore? He's out.....and he's looking for revenge.....on someone.
-Little Carmine Lupertazzi: After all, his dad was the Don for many years before suffering his stroke. Little Carmine couldn't handle the reigns before, but he may be looking to get back in now that things are so unstable. He has appeared and re-appeared a few times this season.....and he'd be looking for revenge on Phil, because Johnny Sacks took out his capos after he took over for his dad to establish his turf.
-Adriana: Alright, this would be F'd up if they did it. But did anyone ever actually see her die? What if she survived in the woods? Silvio couldn't be that sloppy, could he?
-Hesh: Could the most sophisticated and educated member of Tony's crew be called upon one last time to bail him out in some way? OK, ok, it would be a major long shot to have a Jew play such a key role at the end. But he's just smart enough to be the kind of guy to find a way to protect Tony in the end......and he'd do it if Tony needed him to.

4) This is something I've been thinking for a few weeks, and now I'm almost convinced it's going to happen: A.J. Soprano is going to set off some sort of bomb to blow away Phil and his boys as they convene somewhere near the end, thinking they've "won" the ultimate battle. There's just been WAY too much inuendo this season regarding terrorism, bombs, and AJ's infatuation with all of it. He's been too involved in the series emotionally lately not to have some role in this ending. And the irony would be perfect since Tony had been giving info to those 2 FBI guys regarding two possible terrorists.

And, oh, yeah......The final scene of the final episode will take place in a small ice cream parlor in New Jersey. Me thinks this will be the "meeting" place for Tony to re-unite with Carm and the kids and leave together.....alive......forever.....

Paulie will be killed by Tony, he is already suspicious of him and now T will be totally paranoid.

I think Meadow and her new boyfriend get whacked, in a misunderstanding.

AJ is too much of a puss to do anything.

Junior will show up as some sort of informant with Janice in the last episode, they will plot together to either help or hurt Tony, not sure yet. If I had to guess, I would say Junior uses Janice to get to T and gives up some info to Phil in return he will get some kickbacks in future operations.

Just my take, who knows what will happen, should be good though

All I know is this, It will be a cliff hanger ending leaving a lot of unaswered questionsI'm pretty sure that's not the case.

David Chase said in an interview once that he was going to make sure that when it ended, he did it in a way that no one could really take the story and continue to run with it. Basically, when it ends, it ends for good with no loose ends.

Unless he changed his mind, everything will be resolved one way or the other Sunday. And since there has been - and will continue to be - so many major characters killed the last two episoides, I think he has stuck to that vow.

Coach Im with you on Paulie. I dont see him making it. I think somehow Phil bites it also and Little Carmine takes over NY.

If they bring back Adriana I will be so glad its the finale. Its such a soap opera move.

The one loose end i cant see an end for is Tony's FBI "friend." I have a feeling that will have alot to do with then but I have no idea how.

The ending showed that Tony Soprano can never really relax...it didn't "end" because it doesn't end for him...as long as he lives and does what he does there will be alot of Phils that are gunning for him...he has to live his life being suspisious of everyone around him.....

And they ended alot, if not all, of the season with the family at dinner....so that made sense.

Or they set up a movie

I liked the music in the final episode. They played a lot of Vanilla Fudge...

I thought the last episode was pretty weak, it was a safe soft way to end it in a way that left many possibilities for a continuation. They could have ended the best HBO series with a bang cementing it in the annals of TV history as the #1 series ever. Instead, they went soft and left many unanswered questions just to leave the door open for another possible windfall in the future for the cast and crew.

How bout if they never do another Sopranos related program ever again?

I like the open endedness...it gets people talking and drawing thier won conclusions.

I find that the linear thinkers, who want things spoon-fed to them that I've talked to this morning found the episode weak.

I thought it was a great ending to the series and will have people talking about it for a while. For anyone that has issues with the way it was left wide open guess what? Life is like that sometimes. With all the unanwsered questions the series left throughout the years probably the russian in the "pine barrens" episode the most famus one that's the way it is sometimes people actually get away. Anyway, bravo David Chase it was a fun ride an to all the "critics" whom didn't like the endng... oh well.
