I was just going to post that he reminds me of Brees too. He showed great poise vs Kansas in the spotlight. He's not real tall and he'll likely stay one more year, but this kid is accurate, can make all the throws, throws well on the run, is extremely poised and is obviously a pure leader. He's the number one reason Missouri, of all schools, sits on top of the BCS rankings with one game to go.

Some qb's just find a way to make plays out of nothing. He's one of those guys. His height is working against him at the next level but you've gotta love his game.

In the event Edwards doesn't work out its gonna be really hard for me to get behind a QB who isn't the prototype on what an NFL QB should be, and its gonna be really hard for me to get behind a QB who is a "work in progress" or a "project" at the NFL level......
If Edwards doesn't pan out we need to trade for or sign in FA an established NFL QB... or we need to draft a blue chip lock....
After the Collins/Hobert, Johnson/Flutie, Bledsoe, Holcomb/Losman eras.... if Edwards doesn't work we officially have ZERO room for error.
That menas you don't draft 6' QB's, or sandlot QB's, or projects.... you draft Carson Palmer.

Reminds me a little of troy smith last year, good leader, good intangibles, questionable measurables. I have to be honest I haven't seen him throw enough to comment on his arm strength, but looking at his stats he has an8.0 Yds/Attempt ratio, its 19th in the nation, the range for that stat is 9.9-5.1, so he's statistically above average: but it doesn't look like he's throwing the ball down field too much. I know he has two very good TEs, so that may influence that stat. At first glance he looks more like a backup type, but the Brees comparison may fit also.

His height (he's not even 6-0) will hold him back in the 2009 draft, almost no matter what he accomplishes on the field. If he lasts to the 4th round I'd love to see the Bills take him as a backup. He's got a ton of talent and moxie, but his height will keep teams away in the NFL - that could equate to a hell of a backup.

He went to the "big" texas hs football team, Southlake Carroll, and won all the time. Kid's a winner. Don't ever listen to the haters. He's gonna be a star.
'sup dudes has caught passes from him.

Kiper said if he came out this year, he would have had 10 qbs ranked ahead of him. Thinks he's a great college qb, but may be limited in the pros. I disagree with that and probably would've had him in the Top 5. I think he'll be the best of the seniors this year.

Well we do get to watch him rip up UB's defense this year, dear God. On the flip side, if UB's defense can even touch him we will have to re evaluate our opinions of both him and UB's defense.
