When Muhammad al-Darsi got out of prison in Libya last year after serving time for militant activities, he had one goal: killing Americans in Iraq.

A recruiter he found on the Internet arranged to meet him on a bridge in Damascus, Syria. But when he got there, Mr. Darsi, 24, said the recruiter told him he was not needed in Iraq. Instead, he was drafted into the war that is seeping out of Iraq.

A team of militants from Iraq had traveled to Jordan, where they were preparing attacks on Americans and Jews, Mr. Darsi said the recruiter told him. He asked Mr. Darsi to join them and blow himself up in a crowd of tourists at Queen Alia Airport in Amman.

Terrorism! Terrorism!

Funny. Every other goddamn thing this adminstration does is classified and hidden from the public under "National Security" but they seem awfully eager to terrify the living shit out everyone with daily terrorism scares.

And the sheep cowered and asked the sheppard to protect them.

And he bent over the sheep. And he did.

There are 756,897 terrorists in this country.

Honest.

Equal to the entire staff of 7/11 Corporation.

Why is he a terrorist?

He wanted to be a soldier in the war in Iraq.

Just because he was on the other side he was a terrorist?

That's a good point. We didn't call the Nazi terrorists. And they were scum. We didn't call them enemy combatants.

Why? Because back then we respected the Geneva Convention.

What's funny here is that neocons agree with me when I say that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson MUST purvey that racism is rampant all over society or their positions of influence will diminish. I think it's safe to say that we'll always have a "pandemic" of racism as long as Jesse and Al are still alive.

Not here is the interesting point. What's the only thing that Bush has left (and I'll even argue this one)? The so-called War on Terror. He needs to scare the living shit out of people. It's the only shred of power that he has left. That's it. War on Terror. If rag head terrorists aren't crawling in the walls and hiding in your sock drawer, and if you are not scared to death of WMDs in America then he loses the only card he has left.

Yet neocons won't even consider this angle. This inconsistency stuff is fun to point out because it can be exploited to make people in denial look foolish.

We have an adminstration that thrives on driving up the fear factor in society. Scaring the hell out of people so that they demand that he protect them. 9/11 is a vivid example so those that are uninformed fall into line like trained sled dogs.

When you spend the majority of your efforts as a leader instilling fear into the constituency then I dare say that you are not a leader. True leaders do the opposite of instilling fear. They calm society. They remind them of their principles and their purpose. Nope, not George. He wants you wetting your pants and he wants you to abandon your principles.

At that point you become a tyrant and coward.

He wants to milk this issue to fuel his pre-emption doctrine. Manipulating the public to go along with immoral policy. Just incredible.
