Honestly I think I will be happier if Buffalo wins this series than if they win the Stanley cup. That might change if we actually do make it to the finals, and win there, but right now, it's all about beating the tar out of the Senators for embarrassing us the way they have. It's not about the cup. It's about reminding people just who in the hell we are and why we deserve to be here.

If the 2006/2007 season isn't our year, then when is? This is honestly the best hockey the club has played in thirty years. We've broken records, taken the president's trophy, and wowed fans and players alike across the league since the very beginning. I've NEVER seen a Buffalo team receive the kind of respect that the Sabres have commanded this season. It's time to cash in on that, and become the third team in NHL history to come back from a 0-3 deficit and win the series.

We're going to play the tail end of this series like we've played the tail end of a lot of games this season where we've been behind with what looks like no hope of victory in sight. We're going to find a way to win, no matter what happens. BECAUSE DAMNIT WE DESERVE IT. Because that's how the Sabres play!

We've got this one guys. It's just going to require a bit of patience on EVERYODY'S part.

LET'S GO SABRES.

But the Cup is always more important.

Buffalo is going to win the Cup if it gets by Ottawa. There's no way around it. The 2004 Red Sox stunned the Yankees then ran roughshod over the Cardinals, whom many favored to win. The Finals are a mere formality if the Sabres complete this comeback.

More important right now? At this moment?

Getting there obviously.

In the long run? The Cup

While that is a long way off, if the Sabres do pull off this miracle, they will very likely win the cup. And if Ottawa makes it, they won't win the cup because Detroit gets a lot of shots each game, and I don't think Emery is good enough to withstand getting peppered with shots. And Anaheim will pound the hell out of Ottawa, and I think Ottawa will cave if hit enough.

i agree, if they can somehow get by the sens they will win the whole thing.

Odds are not that bad really, all they have to do is win game 6 and they can do it. I think they hammer them in Game 5.

Dude, you need to relax, it was ONE Game. We Have to focus on just one game. It seems like everybody is expecting the Sabres to win, we are still down 3-1. FOCUS one game @ a Time.!!!!!!!!!

How could winning the Cup not be the most important thing? However, if we don't keep winning then of course no Cup. One game at a time guys.

Well, the most important thing at this point is winning the opening faceoff in game 5. We'll go from there...
