i'm looking at getting a router. i am currently wired (at home, at least) and i need some wireless action for the wii b/f my girlfriend kills me.
does anyone have any recommendations?
specifically - is it worth my while to pay a little extra for the "N" protocol?
i was thinking of getting the d-link dir625. anyone have any experience w/ that mofo?

do you got an N wireless card?i currently have a g card. that router is backwards compatible w/ g.
but i would invest in an n card if the n router is gonna actually make it worth my while.

I would say go ahead and buy one if you think you are going to upgrade to an N wireless card in the near future. Otherwise, I'd say just stick with the G.

btw, i have been um............... *scanning* the other networks in the area. out of 5 "known" networks - this router is tripling the packets of the next fastest network. it's faster than the other 4 networks combined.
nehemiah is loving it.

Sweet. I'm glad it's rockin for ya!!
now grab angry IP scanner and start scanning the subnets, maybe someone has a c$ share open and you can scan their files. Hahhaha, also, try logging in to some of the routers.
But, ummm, I've never tried that before.
