what card is gonna work? anyone have a recommendation?

the linksys wpc54g is ****ing insanely impossible to get to work.

The brand is not as important as the model, and even then the revision. It just depends on what chipset they use.

linksys wpc11 has many revisions and each revision has a different chipset. Unlike windows drivers, linux drivers are based on the chipset not the manufacturer

Orinoco and Cisco will work but they are expensive, they are the best wireless cards on the market

You can make just about any work, it just depends on how much you know and how much you want to work on it.
