I know threads have been posted on this before, but the places I remember are all out in the burbs. Does anyone want to watch some games in the district itself?

Right now I'm planning on watching game 2 at http://www.ventnorsportscafe.net/ in Adams Morgan. They say all NHL games are on and have Canadian beer specials for the games. If anyone wants to meet up there post here or PM.

Ventnor's is decent. I've had mixed experiences there. The first time was pretty cool, but the second time I went, they refused to put the Sabres game on and instead had the same college basketball game on 4 different TV's even though they weren't all being used. That was enough for me not to go back there.

I know it's in the burbs, but the best place to watch a Sabres game is Jimmy's in Herndon. The bar is full of real Sabres fans and makes you feel like you're home.

Yeah, I won't have a car there so I am kind of tied to the Metro system. I'll make an appearance or two at Jimmy's once people I know with a car move down.

It seems like they have an emphasis on their page about showing the NHL playoff games, maybe they were less willing for regular season games.

I used to always go to Grevey's on Arlington Blvd. near Gallows Road in Falls Church. Name of the road fits. There are a plethora of fine law enforcement officials just waiting for people to come out of there a bit over the legal limit...

Yeah, Grevey's was the other one I remember but it had the same problem with not being convenient to the Metro.

I thought I remember someone mentioning Bailey's in Pentagon City as being a Sabres hang out as well. Might want to call and confirm, but that would be an option and metro accessible.

I lived in Richmond and was always tempted to drive to Jimmy's just so I could be around Sabres fans. I had no problem finding Bills fans in Richmond.

Thanks, it definitely is right near the metro. I gave them a call and they said there were a "few Sabres fans here and there."

I think I'll try the Adams Morgan place first and then go from there.

McFaddens shows the games on the big screen in the basement, the DC Bills/Sabres backers are there every night that the sabres play. They also have comparable wings to what you'd get back in the b-lo for 10c a wing too.

The also have Labatts Blue!
