I am sure he will be fine. From ESPN:

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Sabres forward Jochen Hecht left practice early Tuesday because of what coach Lindy Ruff said was a groin injury.

Hecht went to the locker room about 20 minutes before practice ended for precautionary reasons. He is expected to play when Buffalo opens the Eastern Conference finals against Ottawa on Thursday.

"He'll be fine," Ruff said. "We didn't want to take any chances. The ice was getting pretty bad."

Hecht scored twice, including the winner, in the victory that clinched Buffalo's second-round series over the New York Rangers on Sunday. The win gave the Sabres a berth in the conference finals for the second straight year.

I would hate to see Hecht go down. Now that just got going good. Stafford is a nice replacment but he just not the same player has Jochen

How nice is it that when we have an injury, we can honestly still be happy with the replacement, plus the replacement already has time in the NHL and playoffs. Granted its not a lot of time, but enough not to give him the first timer's "I don't want to screw up and cost us the game" jitters. And it still sounds as if Hecht will still play in Game 1, so not that I'm writing him off already.
