If you're near the airport, try the "Stick and Stein" on Sepulveda Boulevard in El Segundo--if it's still there. I was out there in 2004, and it was one of my favorite places. You could also probably find a "Champions' Sports Bar" or two around--there's one on Century Boulevard in the airport/Inglewood area--I forget which hotel it's in. The Sheraton or Mariott, maybe? There's also one or two of those around Anaheim as well.

Or just ask around when you get there--there are PLENTY of WNY transplants in SoCal!!

What part of town are you gonna be in? You don't want to get Sports bar recommendations which are all the way across the city, I assume.

Jimi - I lived in Los Angeles (North Hollywood) actually last year, for one year. I spent EARLY Sunday mornings at a Bills Backers bar watching the Bills, and also watched hockey at a few places. The Magic Castle Hotel is right in downtown Hollywood, so it's going to be tough to find a place in Hollywood.

I have two recommendations:

1. Champs (Sports bar in Burbank; well - south of Burbank, on the border)
Champs Sports Bar
Burbank
4103 W Burbank Blvd
Burbank, CA 91505
(818) 840-9493
- cheap drinks (which is a change in L.A.)
- great atmosphere
- LOTS of big screen TV's
- much like the sports bars in WNY - I spent A LOT of time there

2. The other place is where I watched the Bills games on Sunday mornings. It's in Pasadena, a little bit of a drive -but well worth it!....

Let me know how you make out man!!

GO SABRES!!
