How do they project only one 1st round RB?

Adarius Bowman is arguably the best WR in the country next year. He's way better tha Sweed.

So they see us as 5-11 or 6-10 this year.

Oher and Clady are good players but neither are coming of the board before Baker, Long, and possible Boone if declares and progresses the way I think he will

I also like Blake better as a DE than a LB

So this is who we get next year.:D

Antoine Cason CB 6' 182 Arizona Jr.
By: Robert Davis
From the time Cason stepped on Arizona’s campus, he has been something special. Not many true freshman start their first game in college, but Cason did, and he has started every game since. As a freshman, he was in on 70 tackles, with 5.5 coming for loss, along with four interceptions. As a sophomore, he had already emerged as a big time corner and teams went the opposite way, but he still managed 50 tackles, 2.5 for loss, and three picks. Cason earned All America honors as a junior, finishing the year with 62 tackles, two for loss, and three interceptions.

Cason has the ability to be a true shutdown corner. Not only does he have the athleticism, quickness, and ball skills, but he has the attitude of a top tier corner. Cason will not back down from anyone, and loves be tested. He shows the ability to turn and run with receivers, and has the ability to locate the ball while it is in the air. Cason does not shy away from run stopping either. He is very active and quickly reads a run and aggressively pursues the ball carrier.

Tommy Blake

Preseason All-American by Athlon, The Sporting News and Street & Smith's... appears on the watch list for five major awards (Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Chuck Bednarik Award, Lombardi Trophy, Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award and Lott Trophy)... originally came to TCU as a tailback... converted to defensive end while redshirting as a freshman in 2003.

2005:
Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year by CollegeFootballNews.com... also named a Sophomore All-American by the website... first-team All-MWC by the league coaches and media... his 7.0 sacks were second in the league behind only teammate Chase Ortiz (9.0)... placed third in the MWC in tackles for a loss with 13.5, narrowly trailing leaders Ortiz and Steve Fifita (Utah) who had 14... led all TCU defensive linemen with 57 tackles, including 40 solo... had at least one tackle for a loss in the final eight games and nine of 12 contests overall... had a sack for an 8-yard loss in the EV1.net Houston Bowl win over Iowa State (Dec. 31) before leaving the game due to injury... recorded two sacks in a 28-14 win at Wyoming (Oct. 8)... posted a season-best eight tackles in victories over New Mexico (Oct. 1) and Air Force (Oct. 22)... had 3.5 tackles for a loss as part of seven stops in the 51-3 win against UNLV (Nov. 12)... had a pass breakup in the victory at BYU (Sept. 24).

I think oher goes second, think of the stories about okoye, now imagine what's going to happen when they get a hold of oher's story.

boone is a sure fire first round pick

and cason ins't as good as jenkins from osu. jenkins has size speed and might be the best corner to come out of osu ever, he's excellent

surprised they didn't throw sean lee or justin king on there.

Jenkins and Cason will prob be the first 2 off the board but Cason is considered the best tackling CB in college so I think he fits our style better. He reminds me of Winfield

hahaha yes sir!

As far as CBs go, I do like Cason as one of the Top 3 senior CBs...there were games last year where there were zero passes thrown to his covered WR...true shutdown corner. The other two seniors I like:
-Paul Oliver (Georgia) is a lock for Round 1 barring injury. Held Calvin Johnson to 2 catches for 13 yards.
-DeJuan Tribble of BC should go early as well. He won 2 games last year w INT-returns for touchdowns, is a huge contributor to the run-D (6th leading tackler on team) and was a playmaking kick returner.

ya we def will be picking in the 20's so time to re-think their draft, they still have over 300 days to work on it, so they better get moovin!

Mainejays
May 2nd, 2007, 1:07:22 AM
The draft is three days removed and they've already posted a mock for next year? That's bad enough, but having us pick 8th and NE winning the SB, that's just wrong.

B-loCrew
May 2nd, 2007, 1:46:22 AM
that mock sucked

That's closer to being right than projecting the Bills to pick in the 20's and the Pats to have a higher pick.

jaymitch84

Overrated class?

Also, is it possible that with such a deep RB class, everyone just waits?

Maybe teams see so many RBs on the board and think "we like 'em all, one will make it to us in Round 2!" Then they all pass the first time around.

Who did we trade up with to get the #8 pick?

bcw
May 2nd, 2007, 3:45:02 PM
If I could pick a position to draft next year I'd go:

1) DE (need to groom a replacement of Schobel---I love pass rushers!)
2) WR (Finally get a complement for Lee)
3) CB (Hopefully Youboty will show he is ready to be a starter but if not we might need another cb).

LB James Laurinaitis, Ohio State

He's a monster and will surely go in the top half of the first.

6'3"
245 lbs
40 time I imagine is in the low 4.6s, and even in the 4.5s. He's fast.

Great blitzer
Great tackler
Great hands
Great coverage skills

Better yet, why do they have that RB going to a team with Dominc Rhoades,
Lamont Jordan, and drafted Micheal Bush?

Laurinitis is overrated and got exposed and embarassed in the National Title game. I can't believe they have him projected that high.
