Ok I've been trying to figure this one out.

For some odd reason my browsers are acting up. For instance on Firefox I can't get to certain sites like ESPN.com, MySpace...But I can get on most sites.

Then on I IE I can get to this sites but once I click on a link to one of the sites mentioned above I get the same problem I had on FireFox. Also I couldnt view videos on YouTube, but that problem is gone.

I thought I had a virus, I re-installed the operating system a few hours ago and I'm still having the same problem.

Any idea's? cuz I'm lost.

I was using Norton.

But I'm having the same problem without it after I re-installed the operating system.

Are you using a router? If you are then reset it to the factory default settings(hold the pinhole in the back of the unit) and reconfigure it. :niterider

I agree on the router being the culprit. You can try just unplugging it and leaving it sit for 5-10 minutes and then plug back in. If no-go then try the total reset as stated above. Reloading windows never hurts as it cleans out all the corruptions but it is a genuine PITA. Next time check -in for asome advice, maybe we can save you all that work.

If you are using Roadrunner from Time Warner, the problem was on their end. You reinstalled windows for nothing. Time Warner was having major problems for 2 days because of the change over. Because they butchered this move to the new system and cost me two days of not being able to do school work, since I do the online school thing, they lost 146 bucks a month in business.
