We'd still be there today, and how many millions of Americans would have died?
btw, it is never too late to finish what we started. Think of how bad ass the world would think we were if we went back to Nam and finished the job now!

Thanks, saves me the time of pointing out the idiocy of playing the "imagine your political opponents would do a stupid thing and then mock them for it even though they haven't done it" game:
If George Bush were President in 1941, after Pearl Harbor he would have made a strategic partnership with the Japanese and invaded Mexico.
If George Bush commanded the Army of Northern Virginia, the siege of Petersburg would be in its 144th year.
If things in Iraq get bad enough, Republicans will have to resort to inventing nonsensical historical metaphors to attack democrats in the vain hope of distracting attention from their authorship of the worst foreign policy and military disaster of the modern era.

Nobody has given me a good reason to believe that leaving Iraq is any stupider then what is happening today.
Bush in Vietnam era: Scary. There are retired Army Colonel's who shall remain nameless who feel it necessary to invade Iran and reintroduce the draft. Yikes.

Yikes.I really doubt if GW and the boys want to invade iran. That will be a black -ops job and I will bet that is going on as we speak. Alot of moderate people in iran that know the difference and the truth and will eventually get rid of the Attoyalla's (SP). An invasion would piss off the moderates and they would back their own goverment in that case.
