In some vain attempt to replace their staple and sole ratings winner, MSNBC has gone on a auditioning tour of shock-jock based radio programs looking to find a show to replace the Imus in the Morning program.

Last week was the Philadelphia-based Michael Smerconish show, hosted by some bald-headed conservative from Philadelphia. The show averaged over fifteen guests per episode, and was originally intended only to run Monday through Wednesday, but were then asked to stay the entire week.

This week, a native of Lockport, New York takes her stab at the spot! The Stephanie Miller show, based out of Los Angeles is a liberally-biased shock-jock program that that focuses more on impersonations and parody. So far today it has featured a whopping 0 guests, though has had a significant listener call-in portion.

Comparatively, both shows have sucked in comparison to Imus. Truth is, not a lot of radio shows can work on TV, only a very few aren't painstakingly boring to watch. So far, I'd have to say Stephanie Miller is not doing great, even though it'd be cool if a Buffalonian got the gig. She is not unattractive or anything, but she has some pit stains (a TV no-no!?) and the radio crew seems to be visibly pissing off the MSNBC crew quite a bit.

I think ultimately MSNBC will just do what they always do, and that's get pissed off and frustrated with the idea of finding a replacement and put on some more morning news coverage.

Bleh.
