Hillary has dropped Rodham from her name for the bid for the presidential ballot. However, she has not dropped her name on press releases and info for her NYS title as Senator.

Isn't a name, a name - and it should be the same across the board? Seems like a political ploy if you ask me, and she's trying to ride on the shoulders of her husband now (of course, now that it's convenient for her).

(quote from article)
"To most people, family means everyone having the same last name," says Scheuble, author of "Trends in Women's Marital Name Choice: 1966-1996" and "Attitudes Toward Nontraditional Marital Name Choices." "She's doing the right thing politically to appeal to the most voters. She's conforming to the social norm."

Why conform to voters NOW? And why not keep the same name?

I don't know if it's as much that she's trying to ride on Bill C. (for this reason, at least) as much as it is, maybe, that she's trying to avoid fear of the woman/wife stigma by having a maiden name.

Very possible. But still, why not change both? Why one name for the presidency, and one name for NYS? Supports my theories that she's a poser.

She might be the most superficial politician out there, and that covers quite a bit of ground.

It'd be the first time in decades...
