I completely agree with what this guy is saying. Teams that do not take risks and go after players they think can make a big difference are usually less successful.

I really hope if the Bills covet a player in the draft - believing he will have an immediate impact and one-day become a great player (AP, Willis) - or a player available via a trade - who may push the team into playoff contention (Briggs, Turner, LJ) - they go after him even if it means taking a risk.

We are short basic starters at several positions. Got to do basics (LB, TE, FB) before going for the last piece of eye-candy. Having said that, any player taken must have the potential to be very good. I think the gamble will be on players with very good tools but little hype from college. Maybe they were on a poor team or played a different position then they will in the pros. It will be a boring draft if you want the eye-candy.
