Okay, here's my problem. Say i turn my computer on. I can use Internet Explorer/Firefox and sign on aim. However after being on for a few hours, I can no longer use IE or Firefox and it will not allow me to sign onto AIM, however i can still get to websites on AOL, but on IE it will say I don't have a connection. Can anyone help?

I've had similar stuff happen to me. Here's two things that I would try right off the bat:

1. Reset your router & modem
2. Scan your machine for adware... use something like Lavasoft or Hijackthis!

Another step to try is to turn off your software firewall if you have one. Sometimes the Firewall installation will go corrupt and start dickin' up your ports, shutting them down and whatnot. If this solves your problem then just uninstall and reinstall your firewall. :niterider
