In the corners keeping the puck in the Islanders zone. That was some fantastic gritty work, kudos to him.

He really picked it up. Now lets carry it over to Wed night.

agreed... he didn't play like that the whole game...
if he does the next game, that "4th line" will be unstoppable

I did notice that too. He was awesome at the end of the game. Especially when he knocked that guy down as he was passing him chasing the puck.

I think Lindy moved him down because he knows what Al should be bringing. He really stepped up the physical play last year, and hopefully he keeps bringing it this year.

I disagree. I thought he played an excellent game all night long. He was very noticible out there. Very physical and skating great.
That line was probably their best line tonight.

I have to say that kalinin and spacek had fantastic games on D. Kalinin has been playing very well for quite some time now making great passes, pinching well and moving up into the slot. Spacek finally played like i wanted him to play all year. Being physical and confident.
On the flip i thought that lydman may have been our worst D of the night. He made several good plays but constantly was turning the puck over in our own end when he would carelessly toss the puck around the boards. I believe it was a move like that, that kept the play in on the second islanders goal.

that was the single greatest 30 seconds of anybody in any game tonight
more of that every night and he can be legendary in these playoffs

If Al can play like that, he can really punish the Isles D. He will create more room for Connolly, I like him with Connolly, I know its a demotion for him but it might be the best place for him. Like he said he needs some one to find him with the puck when he's open. Nobody better than Connolly.

Well, that's what I like about this team - one night some guys don't have "it" but there are plenty of other guys that can bring it. Alice kicked ass at the end, and yeah, I did notice him through most of the game (but we were spotlighting him specifically....).
