Ok so i have been looking into getting a domain name. My own site. But i'm not understanding fully some of these sites i have been goin to. www.godaddy.com and http://www.register.com offer great deals with the name i want. My question is I just want to be able to host all my pictures for people to see. Now the wording they have is a bit confusing. Does the $10 or whatever a yr cover bandwidth space for pics or do i need a hosting program they offer? I cant figure it out. Maybe i'm just blind or something but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stay away from GoDaddy!!!!

Stay away. I've heard nothing but nightmare experiences about them. Criticize any large internet enterprise and they'll pressure GoDaddy to shut you down. And almost always GoDaddy will willingly comply.

Post anything controversial and you risk their ire.

GoDaddy's idea of free speech is speech that they are OK with.

I've heard good things about register.com

Google GoDaddy and censorship.

never bought a domain, but it's my understanding that the base fee only covers a particular amount of bandwith.

go above that and they hit you up for more loot.
