Well,actually,they do-provided you have enough money,a big mortgage,or own a boatload of property. The HSBC branch,located in an area of Britain that is very well off,is now premier service only. If the common folk want to join,they can...for the sum of 19.95 pounds(about $39.50)per month.
And HSBC made matters worse by explaining the decision. It came off as sounding arrogant-and wound up pissing off more people.
Personally,I thought when you go to a bank-or anywhere else-you were supposed to be treated as if you were that facility's only customer,regardless of who you were.
