Here's how I think they will go down...

East:

Round 1 - Sabres over Isles, Devils over Lightning, Sens over Pens and Rangers over Thrashers.

Round 2 - Sabres over Rangers, Sens over Devils.

Round 3 - Sabres over Sens.

West:

Round 1 - Flames over Red Wings, Ducks over Wild, Canucks over Stars, Sharks over Predators.

Round 2 - Ducks over Flames, Canucks over Sharks.

Round 3 - Ducks over Canucks.

Stanley Cup Final:

Sabres 4, Ducks 3.

I see it this way beat Isles in 5, and hope Tampa finds a way to keep the regular season winning record (3-1) against the Devils in the playoffs.

Then we play Tampa beat them in 5
Let Pitt-Atlanta beat eachother up for 7

Play a young but tired Pitt team win in 6

Next Detroit - in 5 games. Hasek giving up 5 goals in Game 5

Minnesota will get by the Ducks and represent the West. Mike Ramsey will get a head coaching job next season, a great potential fit in NJ if he's willing. Backstrom is this season's Cam Ward and Buffalo will need a much better showing than how they matched up here a few weeks ago against the Wild.

All I'll say is that it's the Sabres' cup to lose.

Most people here are homers, some are irrational, that's what happens on these types of message boards. Check any sports board and you'll see the same sort of mixture of people. If your opinion differs so much from members in this part of the forum, stop posting or reading. Or at the very least, resist the urge to be some sort of revolutionary by calling people out on being homers and just post intelligent things in a less condescending and hostile manner.

Wow, another knowledgeable, objective Rangers fan! If Joe Sakic is washed up, than Danny Briere is a scrub and Jaromir Jagr belongs in the ECHL.

First of all, its a message board. As long as I dont break TOS, I can say whatever the hell I want. If I dont agree with someone or someone is being a homer, I'll say it. I dont care if you or someone else doesnt like it either. If I'm not being pro Sabres, then nobodys going to like what I say, oh well, I honestly dont care, I'm still going to say it. I havent been on this board for about 4 years to make friends.


If you're seriously defending him, and calling me a troll, I think thats just stupid. Please go through all of my posts on this message board since i joined in '03 and then look through that trolls posts on here. Please after just a few, tell me who you think contributes more. That user name is obviously a troll and not here to be a serious poster, at all.

While I may not agree with alot of posts in the Sabres forum, I am a huge Bandits fan, contribute tons in that forum, and a huge Bills fan as well, and love posting in there and have never been called a troll, nor in any other forum. Just because I dont agree with Sabres posters on here sometimes, doesnt make me a troll.

Im sorry that I like to have smart conversations about sports, and I cant because people just can't be realistic or see things from the other point of view. It makes things more interesting when someone has the other side of things, rather than just all pros for one side. Is it really that hard sometimes just to be realistic about things and not think your team (not just the sabres, any team anyone anywhere roots for) is the best thing since sigular rapped cheese slices, and maybe realize there are other points of views out there??? Come on man, its the NHL playoffs, lighten up!!

I don't even know where to begin. The first time in Avs history that they don't make the playoffs you decide to jump on it. The Avs have been a dominate force in hockey over the past 10 years winning 2 cups and appearing in 4 western conference finals. The Avs were close to making it in playing in the Northwest which is a guaranteed 40 tough games division. If they are in the central or pacific, they are in the playoffs for sure. But it's all good. With young guys like Wolski, Stasny, Svotos (should bounce back in 07), Richardson, and Liles to go along with guys like Sakic (signed a 1 year deal to play in 07), Hejduk, and Brunette they will have enough guys to contend. Budaj should be a better goalie next year and he was already a pretty good goalie for the Avs in 06. With some more young guys stepping up in 07 and a FA signing or 2 the Avs will be players next year.

As for Sakic being washed up. That's just ridiculous. Not only did he have a great season scoring 100 points and playing his best hockey at the end of the season showing that he can not only play a full season but put up numbers all season and not fade in the end like most aging veterans.
