The game was pretty good tonight, pretty good atmosphere in the ACC which is rare lately. Leafs caught the sabres on an off night for some reason, no emotion at all from the sabres. Big win for the leafs, they outworked the sabres tonight but thats easy to do when you are desperate playing the first place team.

anyway, hard luck on the loss lads.

Well-played game by Toronto. I didn't think the Leafs would show anything tonight, but they played with the kind of pride that makes me think they're deserving of that last playoff spot. We'll see if they can get it.

yeah the leafs showed some heart, it was great to see the refs finally call a dive without the other guy going to the box.
whether you think it was a crosscheck or not is not what i am talking about, i just like the fact that he thought it was dive and punished the diver. We need more of that.

Hey can't critisize the leafs who really outplayed the Sabres in this series for the most part. I'll take a split series with the effort we showed all night. I'll also take Tim Connolly back pretty soon.

They played like a team that needed a win, and thats what they got, raycroft was pretty solid too, a good win for them.

As for us not to worried, didnt get any breaks, just time to get ready, and stay healthy for the playoffs.

I wouldn't say it is meaningless...

Oshwa and Jersey both won last night - Oshwa is only 4 points behind us and Jersey is 7.

The only good thing is Oshwa has 6 games left to Buffalo and Jersey's 7.

Playing lackluster games with having home ice advantage and with getting to play the 8th seed in the playoffs on the line...and having your starting goaltender call your team out right before the playoffs start - is not leaving me feel better about last nights loss.

There was a bigger issue at play last night than losing to a team that is not going to make the playoffs (Carolina, NYI and Montreal all won as well last night)...one I hope quietly corrects itself in the remainder of the regular season.
