I have a question... what is everyone's love affair with spacek? He hasn't blocked shots or been the strong presence on our power play. He makes more than Tallinder and Campbell combined.. Why is everyone drawn to him? He doesn't lay anyone out,score goals, set up goals or anything noteworthy on the defensive end. He has to go at the end of he year. Use his salary to sign briere/drury. Paetsch is ready to play full time back there and i'm sure we can sign a vet to be the 6th d-man to replace teppo(after he retires).

I'll be fine parting with Spacek if he doesn't play well in the postseason. However, let's just see what happens then. Don't give up on him yet; after all, Jaro did play his best hockey for the Oil during last year's playoffs, when it truly mattered.

Spacek wasn't the reason why we lost tonight. His style is more stay at home. Guys like Paestch and Campbell and Tallinder are the ones who are the headliners, and quite frankly most of us didn't look at Henrik until he was out with an injury for a while.

I wouldn't say he's the worst, but I also haven't heard any 'love affair' sounding statments :) As was said above, he played well in the playoffs for Edmonton last year and that's what we got him for. We'll see.

I thought he would be much better on our PP. Isn't that one of the reasons why we got him. So far Paetsch is better and making far less $.
