WASHINGTON - President Bush accused the Democratic-led Congress of wasting taxpayers’ time picking fights with the White House instead of resolving disputes over money for U.S. troops and the firings of the U.S. attorneys.
“Members of Congress now face a choice: whether they will waste time and provoke an unnecessary confrontation, or whether they will join us in working to do the people’s business,” Bush said. “We have many important issues before us. So we need to put partisan politics aside and come together to enact important legislation for the American people.”

Tee hee hee.
The sooner your country admits the Iraq war is a war crime and the people who are responsible for it are war criminals, the better off you'll be.

Priceless.
Bush accuses the Dems of staging "political theater".
So,what's up with that scene of using troops, active and retired,IN UNIFORM,at that little presser,Mr. Bush?
You have to be aware that a solider can't appear in full uniform, right? And that they can be prosecuted under the UCMJ?
Have we now officially become a banana republic? Is it the US military's official policy that the Democrats don't support the troops?

Nancy Pelosi didn't hold a news conference with troops behind her talking about the vote. President Bush did. You can't deny that.
I think they follow the votes in congress and know whats going down
Yeah. Like how they've gotten screwed out of decent troop strength, body armor, bulletproof vests-stuff like THAT?

The timetable is what's most disgraceful.
Can't really help the enemy any more than that.

This is life buddy. The historical criticism of democracies is that they are stupid and poorly run. If a majority of the people do not see that this is the beginning of a world struggle, a clash of civilizations, as you claim, then it will be worse in the end and you will be right and much suffering could have been averted and lives saved if only the idiots of a free country were smart enough to listen to people like you.
Again, this is life in a democracy. Your only alternative is to change this country into something other than a democracy to save lives.
Freedom is not free. You decide.
