ok boys, i am guaranteeing a leaf win tonight. I think Mats will be so ashamed of lastnight that he leads us to victory tonight. This is for fun so don't freak out, if the leafs lose i will divide my chips up and give them all to the following people.
Jshramek
ainhejerer
ralonzo

I was almost willing to guarantee a SABRES win...Leafs are in shambles after last night and the Sabres won't let down from their third period domination!!!!
LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!

I'll raise you a groan? hahaha, of course I'm saying the Sabs again tonight
Sabres244
March 24th, 2007, 11:25:19 AM
you really think the Leafs have any confidence after that?
Maz
March 24th, 2007, 11:27:50 AM
not confidence but pride, pride is a VERY dangerous thing to! I am STILL picking my precious Sabs to win still though!
bduff54
March 24th, 2007, 11:31:17 AM
they will have to have confidence and pride, they proved in the first 2 period that they can play with the sabres, they just have to think like that

really? I think the Leafs may want to rethink their strategy. They tried run Buffalo out of the building last night. They used everything they have in the first 43 minutes of the game and then became zombies. Buffalo was just dominant in the 3rd and took advantage of this. Toronto will have no legs tonight and we'll prolly skate them out of the building, also remember Toronto isn't that good at home, Buffalo is the top road team in the NHL.

It's on, bduff. This might be the most confident I've been going into a Sabres game. I expect a win, and it wouldn't surprise me if it comes by means of a blowout.

The Leafs will try hard for the first few minutes, and then choke like they have been for the past 40 years.

More like the Sabres proved they could play DOWN to the level of the Leaves for 2 periods, then stepped on the gas and PROVED that the Leaves are no where near in the class of the Sabres.

The kind of show where he cross checks every person that he faces off against, the type of show where he whines and compalins, how about the Tucker show, where he runs into your goalie, i am looking foreward to a Raycroft show personally, where he cant stop a beach ball.

bduff isn't crazy :)
1. x-Buffalo 74 103
2. * New Jersey 74 94
3. * Atlanta 75 88
4. Ottawa 75 96
5. Pittsburgh 74 92
6. Tampa Bay 75 86
7. NY Rangers 74 83
8. Carolina 74 82
9. Montreal 75 82
10. NY Islanders 73 81
11. Toronto 74 80
Toronto might have taken a hit last night, but by no means are they out. The race is still on, and i expect them to go hard tonight. And depending on how (if) Coklin plays its not "crazy" to think they could beat us tonight.
Thats all im saying.

I expect the Leafs to play with a lot more intensity. It's a HNIC game, they're desperate, and the other teams they're chasing are also playing, plus they're in the ACC. It won't be a cake walk for the boys, nor should it.
Pax.

Sundin really sucked last night...I know he's your boy Bduff but...he just...wow.
I think he should go back to trying to overtake Grayskull instead of embarrasing himself out there again...

Your first ever guarantee? Really? I kind of remember you guaranteeing a certain team would miss the playoffs and another certain team would make the playoffs last season. I could be wrong.
BTW, the Sabres are 3-0-0 at the Air Canada Centre this season. Outscoring the Maple Leafs 13-5 in the process.

Memo to bduff:
Stop trying to pull the Mark Messier card and guarantee a win. Even if you lopped all your lettuce off your dome....ERRRR,cut your hair, you STILL wouldn't be a clone of him.
jro: If Buffalo manages to win(which, even with their road record,is not a given),that will REALLY stick the knife deeper for the Leafs in terms of the playoffs. The Isles,by virtue of their win today, are currently(as I type this)in 8th place. Carolina and Montreal would be out as of now.
