I'm still a big supporter of the show for PS2, the game play got even better than last year.

Too many homeruns, but the presentation is amazing.

You really think that? I thought it was the opposite(the homeruns).

Go to 2ksports.com and into their forum for MLB 2k7. There are some good slider sets you can use that makes the game much more realistic.
I bought a 360 for this game. I've been playing it a ton. I'm 47 games into my first franchise season and I'm playin .500 ball. I'm winning more lately though so I'll be a contender from here on in. I just sucked bad at first.

Oooo, so this is a game worthy buying?
I have a 360 now (had xbox before), and after a couple EA Sports disappointments on the old box I stopped buying baseball games.
Should I pull myself back in with 2K7?

I'd buy this, but baseball games are too easy. It'd probably be great for the playstation 3, though, at least in terms of graphics.

Yea I changed the power sliders from 50 to 5 and still hit about 3 homeruns a game. Even with the contact swing I hit them out.

Exhibit A on why I stopped buying baseball video games.

There are a lot of sliders and each one will change the way the game plays. I'm playing very realistic games with the slider set I got from 2ksports.com forums.
It's just about putting a little effort into fixing things. There is a slider to control the meat pitches you get thrown too by the way. That would cut down on homers.

Yea, those are down to about 25. I see maybe 1 meat pitch a game, and I always seem to miss that one because I get excited..

I can post those sliders if anyone would like to see them. You can fiddle around with them and see how they work for you.
