I honestly just bought the most expensive computer I could get on the Dell website. 21 in widescreen monitor and altec aurround.....its worked great except for a little blue screen of death issue I've since gotten fixed....
But I got it like 2 years ago.... so I'm probably gonna go with a sweet laptop in a year.

I had a VERY limited budget to build this rig with. I already had all the peripherals from previous PC's I've built. The one thing i need asap is more ram. nice deal on Newegg for 2x1GB for 195.00 with 40.00 rebate.
I wish the DirectX 10 cards (8800gtx in particular) would come down in price quick but i doubt that it will happen anytime soon.

Sweet budget rig. Once you RAM up you'll be sitting real sweet.
Bsmith and Woody.
Check out Activespeed and SpeedscanPro. They'll ramp up your surf speed and PC performance in a MEGA way. Both are about $60 total. You can get them online too.
Ohh. Upgrading to an AMD Opteron Quad-core uP this summer.

There's a Commodore 64 somewhere with a tape drive and the classic 300 baud modem - who remembers typing those friggin Compute Gazette pages of shit for two days and waiting until next month for the friggin typos to be corrected.
And there's an assortment of gaming consoles. Atari 2600, NES, PSX, Dreamcast, Xbox etc -which my wife loves to complain about until she gets to play a classic on one of the emulators. (Dr Mario addict)

Man I love the Commodore.... I'd still have one if it was practical. I still have a copy of 'The Last Ninja'.. complete, mint and on display in my living room. :niterider

One thing I miss about Commodore 64 is the sheer quantity of games available for it, and the rapidity of new game releases.
Ahh, the good old days...

Bought a Cooler Master Real Power Pro 850 Watt ATX 2.2 Power Supply. SLI ready. Six 12 Volt rails rated @ 18 amps each. Peak power 1000 watts. It can support quad 8800 GTx'es.
I'm good to go.
