I was in the middle of my normal hockey hibernation when I was awakened by the enemy. I try to never get to excited about the regular season and just wait for the playoffs where anything can happen.

But, now I am in full playoff mode. I was pumped for the game last night and I can't wait for the next one. I love the fact that we beat them with 6 regulars out. I can't wait to take it to them again. Just something great about being the underdog. This could be the defining moment of the season. How great was it to see Brierre fly off the bench and hug miller? How awsome was it to see Miller glove that last shot and golf the puck into the stands?? How cool was it when after Ruffs press conference, the reporters started applauding him???? They new they were witnessing something special.

I am sold. No need for a trade. Lets dance with the girl we came with. Can anyone actually think of a player that we could add that would give us more than any of the amerks we have called up have? I will take passion and desire over skill anyday. Maybe I am a little too pumped right now and am not thinking clearly but I just have to say that I want these guys we currenlty have on the roster to win the cup. I think they can do it. I think they were meant to win it.

I now believe. I don't think any team in the NHL can beat us in a best of seven series. I am not worried about the injuries. We will get players back. We will only get better from this point forward and if we lose Biron at the end of the season without getting anything in return, I will be glad to see him go with a stanley cup ring on his finger.

It is moments like the one last night that make teams great. No trade is necessary. A group of individuals with a common goal in mind, working together for each other simply can not be beat.

You mess with the Sabres and you bring down the thunder.

As far as Ottawa is concerned: I say Lindy plays the war drums. Starting line-up is Peters, Mair and Kaleta. Why do I say this?

If everyone plays it cool to start and waits for the other to initiate, then the Sabres are just waiting to see one of their starters to get run/cheap shotted. Setting the tone early that we know the stakes and are not *****ing around with our players is essential.
