This is two of our best players that at the hands of Ottawa have been given concussion related injuries in less than a year. The time to address and correct a situation is at hand.I hate the Sens and I think it would be nice if Darcy could do me a favor and get Georges Laraque. There is a league wide sentiment that the Sabres can be intimidated or at least hit into submission. One thing I know is there is no respect of the Sabres physical side and thats more than evident when you see these type of actions.I mean the players lost for the Sabres to this Ottawa team are Tim Connolly and Chris Drury and we have to be able to stop teams from taking these players away from us.
Yesterday was a great step in the right direction as far as seeing this team stand up to this type of seek and destroy mentality. Its a lack of respect from Ottawa that leads to a Chris Neal purposely drilling Drury when Drury was vulnerable.Call it clean if you want but an integral part of the roster was removed again, this crap has to stop! The time for this franchise to act is now its not to be tolerated any longer. The Sens gladly sent TC into an eight month hiatus and now who knows how long Drury is gone for.Enough is enough! The Sens and the rest of the league need to be shown it isn't going to continue, the time to act is now! Neal and Schaeffer are now on my most wanted list!

That might help, but what impressed me is how the Sabres stood up for themselves after Drury got hit. Would I mind seeing Laraque in Sabre gear? Not really, though I'd still want to see Raffi Torres wearing the blue and gold.
Know what the best revenge is? Going into Ottawa and burning the bulbs out with all the goals scored. That's how. Not with how many Sens have to pay for Drury's hit. Not with how many fights there will be. Not with how chippy the game will get.

Laraque has some decent skill for a big guy but the Coyotes love him.
Imagnie Matt Greene here (drools).
With that being said i think the main thing i want to see tomorow is for our guys to really hit Neil hard go at him we cant back down. Fight him. Knock him around.

There is a need to change the leagues mind set on the Sabres,to instill the confidence that no one will take liberties with this club anymore.I also like Raffi Torres.Seriously teams can run Sabres and not worry what will happen as of last night that may be coming to an end.

I would love to see justice done as well...both on the scoreboard AND through fights...we need to show the NHL that if you go after us we'll come back and go right after yours! And if you hurt us it doesn't matter we'll call up our entire AHL team and STILL beat you! I loved Stafford stepping up to Neil last night...it showed the spunk of all the young guys out there!

Oh,I forgot...add Matt Greene to my list of "players whom Regier will hopefully trade for". As I've stated before,we need a good stay at home D-man. We've already got enough puck-movers in the defense corps.

Matt Greene, Kevyn Adams, Raffi Torres......any would be a major aquisition at this point. With our lineup the way it is now, any hard nosed, gritty role player will be more than welcome. This must be addressed. Teams know how "soft" the Sabres are, I'm afraid this type game is the game the Sabres will face every night from here on out. Every point in the standings is so valuable to the bubble teams, and with the Sabres sitting on top, everyone is gunning for them.

Any chance the Laffs could loan us Tucker for 1 nite? 1 cheap-shot deserves another. Heatley's teeth on the ice would be a good start.
Seriously, Is Minnesotas Boogard on the market?

Pry Jason Smith from the Oilers' cold, nearly dead hands.

The Oilers have skiled and gritty players that could adapt well to the Sabres system.

You are right on the mark. With the instigator rule you allow for thuggery to take place. I doubt Neal even has a roster spot if he had to answer to his actions on a nightly basis.

Well Neal should be given his final exam tomorrow. He should be answering for his actions all night long.
