BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A transport helicopter that crashed in Iraq last week killing all seven on board was brought down by a "sophisticated piece of weaponry", the U.S. military said on Wednesday.
It was the first time they acknowledged that insurgents could be using complex weapons to attack its helicopters in Iraq.
A spokesman did not say what brought the Marine Ch-46 Sea Knight down on February 7, but an insurgent video released at the time showed what appeared to be a missile hitting the twin-rotor helicopter, sending it plummeting to the ground.
The spokesman, Major General William Caldwell, made the statement at a news briefing in Baghdad that concentrated on presenting evidence of what the U.S. military says is proof of Iran's involvement in arming Iraqi militants.

This whole thing begs the question.
If there is a liberal bias, if seems to be of a certain sort. There are things the media will bring up and things it won't.

Cover-up has a sinister feel to it. The press used to know about indiscretions of politicians and not go to press with it, Kennedy being the favored example these days. At the time, it was not really news worthy, it got a free pass.
Free passes still exist, even if they would be of interest to some or many and even if they promoted the "liberal" bias of the person doing the reporting. Certain things are always off limits.
