Last week an Orange County jury saved a former cop from a 10 year prison sentence when they said that although David Alex Park's semen was found on the sweater of a woman he pulled over soon after leaving her job at a gentleman's club, that the sex was consensual, because, as the defense attorney told the jury, "she got what she wanted, she’s an overtly sexual person."

According to reports by the LA Times, OC Register, the OC Weekly, and Bad Cop News, Park pulled over Lucy (her last name wasn't used in the trial) in the early morning of Dec. 15, 2004 for weaving and speeding, gave her a sobriety test that she passed, wound up fondling her breasts, putting his fingers into her vagina while masturbating and finally ejaculating on her clothes.

Park who is married and now works construction was fired as a police officer after the incident with Lucy. However the 11-male, one female jury found the 6' 3", 31 year-old Park not guilty of ten counts including three felony charges (sexual penetration by foreign object by threatening to use the authority of a public official, sexual battery, and sexual battery by restraint) despite some suspicious activity:

Tell me about it, that's the only reason I'd ever have for being a cop. You get to pull hot chicks over late at night who have been drinking and introduce them to your billy club. Its amazing what a chick will do when you put a gun in her face. They just love it!

This cop gets off in court, on the job, on women's sweaters...

I'm glad this guy isn't gay and pulled me over...serious problem there.

To be serious, I think this guy should see some jail time. Cops need to know that they aren't above the law, and they should be held to the higher standard they seem to hold themselves.
