*In today's Ottawa Petfinder...ERR,Citizen as well as the Ottawa Sun,they note that Patrick Eaves may be a scratch for the game tonight as he's nursing a tender ankle. Brian McGrattan will step in if Eaves can't go;the Sun says it might be either McGrattan or Denis Hamel.

Is Spacek playing? And if he is who sits? Mair,Paille, or even Numminen? You can't sit Paetsch IMO he's got the PP going and is playing like a man on a mission.

Buffalo outshooting Ottawa 15-8, and also has the faceoff edge. Impressive opening period for a team that didn't get back from Atlanta until 1 a.m. this morning.

I think Kalinin is trying to step up but Vanek was just raw today he picked up the sabres when they needed him.

The most important things I noticed:
- a PP goal wins it
- no 3rd period collapse
- a win that was gutted out with work instead of flash

33 giveaways:slam: ....what an ugly ugly stat. We really need to work on that. Come playoff time teams will bury us if we give the puck up that often.

I saw that stat last night and thought what the **** are they doing.

The Sens had about 11 I think it was.

They gotta clean that up.
