Pete: Welcome to Listen Up!
Pete: How long have you been on the Range? How'd you find the place? How often are you on?
TheAnswer74: I read the range for a while, I can't really remember when exactly. I joined the Range and just read what other people said for a year or so before I started getting involved in the discussions going on. I am on the Range everyday, home, school, work. I'm always checking for Bills and other sports news mainly, but then I usually read something I have to reply to. The Range is where I get almost all of the breaking news going on.
Pete: What the hell happened to the Chargers? How about Manning? Think he'll get the monkey off his back?
TheAnswer74: The Chargers were Bradyed and Belichicked. We have been there a few times. Many non Patriot fans hate them, but I have grown to admire them. They are ruling the AFC kind of how we did back in the early 90's.
I picked Peyton Manning and the Colts to rise up and win it all. I also picked the Giants to be their Superbowl opponent, but we won't get into that. But seriously, P. Manning is getting help this time, and boy did he need it. he is struggling, but I don't expect that to last. Colts will win it all and Manning will take home the MVP.
Pete: Who are the first 3 rounds on your draft big board? Why?
TheAnswer74: I don't know yet. DT Alan Branch is by far my top rated player for the Bills.
I also have become a big RB Marshawn Lynch fan. I think he would have a huge impact on our team.
Pete: Buffalo's worst draft pick last year was? Why?
TheAnswer74: I don't think the Bills had a bad draft pick in 2006....yet. It's too early to tell. Donte Whitner has huge expectations.
Pete: Who is the hottest woman on the planet? Pics please.
TheAnswer74: Oh man, easy question for me. Scarlett Johansson without a doubt. http://imstars.aufeminin.com/stars/fan/D20060306/1549_346427559_scarlett_johansson_H184802_M.jpg
Pete: Where the hell did you come up with that username?
TheAnswer74: A.I. Allen Iverson, my favorite basketball player.
Pete: Thoughts on Losman? Can he someday be an all-pro? Why or why not?
TheAnswer74: Can he? No question. Will he? Not as big a question today for me as it was a few months ago. Still lacking instincts, but you can tell the game is slowing down for him. I'm excited to see what he does next year. He has all the physical abilities to be one of the most dangerous QB's in the NFL, he just has to learn to use them, and hopefully he will.
Pete: Which side of the ball is most critically in need of improvement and why?
TheAnswer74: Many say the defense, more specifically the run defense, but I'm still concentrating on the offense, mainly JP Losman and our running game. The Bills were near the bottom in 3 and outs, that has to change. We constantly do nothing on offense. A 1st down or two here and there would help out our defense so much.
Pete: Who's the most knowledgeable football poster on the Range, excluding me? :D
TheAnswer74: I think there are MANY knowledgeable posters. Some people are very repetitive however, but I like to read everyones opinions, even NWF.....well sometimes ;). I'm a big draft guy and I think Merk, admarc, and Evans do a great job posting up profiles and stuff about prospects. I'm sure other people do also. I like reading about coaching news from CoachC, he is always ontop of the coaching moves around college football.
Pete: Would you ever like to see the Bills revert back to the classical 3-4 defense considering that we have screwed up repeatedly in obtaining quality d-linemen?
TheAnswer74: I Love the 3-4 defense. lol, I use the 3-4 whenever I play Madden. Yes, I would love to switch back to the 3-4. Right now there are so many quality "Tweener" type DE's that finding OLB's in a 3-4 has become simple, when at one point it was difficult. The key to the 3-4 though is that Nose in the middle. Can be hard to find.
Pete: Which offensive linemen need to be replaced like yesterday? Free agency or draft?
TheAnswer74: Well, if anyone knows me they know I supported Mike Gandy. He needs to go. If he was a 1st or 2nd year player, I would want to see if he canimprove, but right now we need to stengthen the middle of our OL. I have never been a fan of Duke Preston, but he does have room for improvement. Fowler does get blown up at times, but he is a decent center, I think he can get the job done. So IMO, we need to replace ATLEAST 1 player inside and the most logical replacement would be Mike Gandy over at LG.
You have to Like Eric Steinbach and Chris Dielman as replacements, but one guy under the radar is LG Derrick Dockery from the Skins. Started every game the last 3 years for the Skins and the skins had the 4th rated rush offense in 2006 and 7th in 2005, he must be doing something right.
Pete: Do you follow the Sabres? What are your thoughts on them?
TheAnswer74: The season is very very very long. I always watched the Sabres and was a fan, but I never posted about them The Sabers werent just a good team last year and this year, they were interesting and exciting. Right now it looks like they are playing content and thats a scary thing, but If the playoffs started this week I am positive they would sweep or win in 5 against anyone.
Pete: When did you stop beating your wife?
TheAnswer74: lol. Not married, too young, so I havent had the chance yet, .... just playing.
Editors Note: He's lying. He's embarrassed because she's smacking him around.
Pete: Do you think "take the best available player" is the right approach for the draft this April?
TheAnswer74: Yes I do. Hopefully that best player fills a hole, DT Alan Branch, but I am fully on the Marshawn Lynch bandwagon.
Pete: Any final thoughts or ideas?
TheAnswer74: I have an idea. Every Buffalo Range member should give me $1. That would be $11,295.
