Not sure if anyone already mentioned this, but given their recent history I'd love to be there when the starting eastern forwards meet up and briere and ovechkin have to shake hands.
Either Lindy is gonna break up that line after the first shift or dSid the Kid is gonna have to play peacemaker all game, haha
At least Danny has Campbell and Miller to watch his back, haha

Danny and Ovechkin will get along fine. Remember Roger Clemens pitching to Mike Piazza at the baseball ASG a couple years back? It's a similar situation. These guys will be good friends by the end of the night. I can't wait to see Danny, AO and Sid the Kid on one line.

Yeah, they are professionals, and all feuds are off temporarily during the all star game. But i still hope briere drills him somewhere along the line.

Umm...did you also notice Piazza tipping Roger's pitches, and the Rocket getting rocked?
I hope they act better than that.

Hockey players have more respect for the integrity of the game than players in any other sport. These two, no matter what bullshit came between them, still respect the game and are mature enough adults to play on the same team in the All-Star game. I wouldn't worry.
And if there was a problem, like Crosby is going to play peacemaker... Hahaha, riiiight. That kid is about as immature as a hockey player can get in the NHL. Not that I blame him, he's only 19 years old afterall...
I think they'll all relish the opportunity to play with eachother on the same line. That's a sick ass line, and all three of them know it and I'm sure they're all excited.

What actions do you see that make you think this way? I think Crosby is a very mature player for his age. Never displays anything bad that would prove me otherwise. He's a stand-up guy, I'm sure living with Mario has something to do with this.

People are always complaining about the fact that Crosby often "whines" to the refs during games. It doesn't matter to me; I've been totally impressed with him.

did you watch the game? Roger shaking off Piazza tons of times then getting rocked for 6 runs and the whole time Piazza was behind the plate. for a while after there was speculation but no real proof of course. no one is really going to say anything, but i do know that Roger to this day still can't stand Piazza. and i know from some buddies of mine who are beat writers in ny

Interesting; thanks for the info. I just figured Clemens had a crappy outing.

What exactly happened between the two?
First Ovechkin cheap shotted Briere from behind into the boards. He got away with it with a 1000 dollar fine or something ridiculous. Then the next time we played washington, Briere got away with a pretty nice spear on Ovechkin.
I didn't mean these guys would actually start anything with eachother, but you have to admit it's going to be a pretty awkward meeting at first.

Every time I see him he's whining about something. Every player whines, but I swear there are times where he gets a little testy to the point where an older, more experienced player would just accept the fact that he's not going to get the call he wants.
I love him as a player, he's great to watch, but I think in terms of his attitude he's got some growing up to do. He'll get there, though.

I would still shove a stick up his ass every chance I got.
