Russia has said the decision to stop pumping oil through a key pipeline to Europe was forced upon it by events outside of its control.
The comments came as officials from Belarus and Russia began talks aimed at resolving an escalating energy dispute.
Russia has been condemned by the European Union for cutting off its oil supplies without consultation.
German chancellor Angela Merkel dubbed the move "unacceptable" and one that "destroyed trust" in Russia.

Now JLB this is exactly why we should let Russia take care of its neighbors. Belarus is in their geopolitical sphere as is Ukraine, Georgia and all the other nations that we are using to totally fix relations with Russia if by fix you mean set back to the darkest days of the Cold War.

Oh and because the hawks round here have been surprisingly absent I would say that the US Army would get its ass kicked if it tried invading Russia. Don't believe me then perhaps you should ask The Japs (yup they attacked Pearl Harbor because they found us an easier opponent than the Russians. Oh and for those who say Russia did not know how to fight until late in the war well thats not true they destroyed the Kwantung army at Khalkin Gol in 38. Anyways Russia would beat us as they have beaten the Teutons, Charles XII, Frederick Der Grosse, Napoleon, Tojo, and Hitler.

How does this problem of Russia's become cause for our concern?
Will this have an overall negative impact on our oil prices?
Where does this situation place us?
