We have been fed this bs the whole season about how great the Big Ten is and how tough the conference is, and look what happened to their supposed 2 best teams in the land? They both got steamrolled.

Every year, some overhyped team gets blasted in the bowl season, either in the championship game or in one of the major bowls and everyone is left wondering? Were they really that good to begin with or was it a matter of the entire conferenced sucked donkey nuts, but they beat up on each other.

Who's to say Florida really wasnt that great? They didnt exactly beat anyone out of the SEC any good? How do we know the SEC was all that great. I am not saying it isnt, but who can prove otherwise? And before anyone says, LSU trashed Notre Dame, what makes Notre Dame that great? How do we know? It's all guessing. Until there's a playoff nobody will know for sure. Who's to say Boise State cant whoop Florida. Their strength of schedule?? Who's to say they aren't playing down to their competition. It does happen. Look what they did to the Big 12 Champ, their first real powerhouse played.

College Football is a complete joke, it's a beauty pageant. Whoever the judges decide makes the final round, (in this case pollsters, computers) makes the final round. And then to make things worse, let's give a smoking hot team (Ohio State) a nice 51 day lay off so they can lose all their momentum, and let's make the game about who can shake off the rust faster, not who's better. Another retarded thing about CFB. I remember 4 years ago when the Canes were steamrolling everyone. 50 day layoff, their offense comes out flat and it takes them 3 quarters to shake off the rust on offense, and they lose. If they play that game 5 weeks earlier 100 times, Miami trashes Ohio State 100 times. But then again, who says Miami really wasnt that good? Again, we'll never know.

You lose once, you are out of the picture unless you get lucky. You lose twice, your season is relegated to playing in a meaningless exhibition game? Does anyone really remember who won the 2006 Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Rose and Cotton Bowl without looking it up??

Play it out on the field.

I couldnt agree more. College basketball has a tourney, leaving the champ undisputed. There is absolutely no reason they can't do the same with football.

The worst thing about college football are the obnoxious fans and the politics involved. All the whining about how the own team deserves a better ranking, by coaches nontheless (Weis, Tubberville, Meyer, etc.).
