Do you think the poll voters will give BSU the number one spot as the only undefeated team?

I'd do it.... I'd probably do it anyway if OSU wins

But thats just how I am.

No poll voters will give them a #1 spot.

I doubt it... That would be admitting that the BCS doesn't work. That, and with all the Urban Meyer whining about not being #2... Could you imagine if Florida won and they didn't get #1? Meyer would never shut up.

Never happen. Boise State beat a bunch of nobodies all year, then lucked out a victory against a weak Oklahoma team..... big deal.

Besides..... the premise of this thread, starting with the title, is absurd.

If Florida beats OSU ... Florida will clearly be deserving of both titles.

Absolutely true. It should have been titled "WHEN OSU loses."

You sir were correct.

They were the last time Ohio $tate played for the title in the Fiesta Bowl so you probably have a point.

Boise State would beat Ohio State. Too bad we'll never see it.

No matter what happens next Monday, BSU would get my No. 1 vote.

Which is why you don't get a vote..... When Ohio State wins how would Boise Jump them....ohio state will have knocked off 3 teams ranked number 2 when they played them, went wire to wire as concensus #1......

Boise State beat ONE ranked team....a ranked team who is suspect at best....

Boise State played nobody

The Broncos would wreck Ohio State, however we will never see it because such destruction would never be allowed by the network censors.

Right..... because they needed a horseshoe up thier asses to squeak by Oklahoma.......

Boise State sucks.... in reality they should be ranked 15-20......

Boise State got placed in the charity bowl against a fish, and still almost blew a game that the Sooners giftwrapped for them in the first half.....

Boise State is a great little prgram....good for them. Florida, OSU, USC, Michigan, LSU, etc....would crush them.

Every once in a while upsets happen..... Boise State upset Oklahoma.

LSU had better worry about this second half against Notre Dame. Brady is gonna get in sinc and we are running the ball great.

No

When you have the 100th ranked schedule in the country your not going to get a #1 vote unless there is a BSU homer w/ a ballot

I certainly can.

And,BTW,it doesn't work. Half the time we get a national champion IN SPITE of the BCS,not because of it. Boise State, right now,is the best argument we've got to press for D-1 college football to do what every collegiate sport,at every level, does to decide a champ: a playoff system. And don't tell me "it can't be done." Because it can. Take all the heritage bowls(Orange,Cotton,Sugar,Rose,Independence,Libert y et al)along with a few others and incorporate them into the playoff system. Decide the title where it should be: on the field of play,NOT with voters who have biases or computers that can get fouled up with humans programming them.

I'm not a fan of the BCS, but it has worked! WXP is absolutely right that Boise as great of a year as they had would get killed by the top 5 teams. A playoff system is the best way to go, but generally the BCS has gotten it right.

Which is why I said we've had national champions "in spite" of the BCS,not because of it. Just imagine if a number of variables in any year had gone down and we've had confusion over who the champ is. That's why it should be decided on the field of play, not on a computer server or a number of coaches who have their own biases.

The BCS created a lot of great bowl games this year. go back and look at how many were decided by a TD or less..its not just a coincidence

ok then outside of a playoff system (which btw will NEVER happen) how would you decide it?

Playoff system, even if as you put it it'll never happen. What's to say that somewhere down the road the colleges will come to the realization that there's more money to be made with a bowl system?

Doesn't the great Lloyd Carr have as many titles as Jim Tressel? How about the legendary Larry Coker?

Oh reality is great isn't it?
