How long will he last once he does get back? a game? a week?
Is he going to shy away from being hit, thus rendering him ineffective?
Is One hit going to knock him out another 8 months ???
I wish him a full recovery and never have to experience all that again but let's be real....
I question the $3 million we are putting up for him.

i agree 100% with this, and i think if he ever recovers enough to play, that he will be a liability, especially with the salary cap. i think we should dump him asap.

we'll find out and see, he'll be back this year. Aside from Max this guy is our biggest threat and the reason our PP is sucking.

i'm not too sure i agree with him being our biggest threat(aside form max). and who is to say our pp will be any better with or without him.

There's really no use worrying about it now. The Sabres spent the $3 million and it's done and overwith unless the Sabres trade him (which won't happen because nobody will take on the injury risk). Right now, he is progressing. Let's see what happens before we say "Darcy Regier shouldn't have signed him". I'm not going to worry about Connolly because there is nothing you nor I, nor anybody else, even the Sabres, can do about it at this point.

A lot of guys who have had concussion related problems and really never could get back 100%, is that they rushed back to quickly. Given the proper amount of time, Tim will be 100%. If that means missing the entire season and playoffs, so be it. We were just starting to see how good he was, also, he is much too young to give up on. Tim can be a major force in the future, that is as long as he doesn't push his comeback to fast.

Golisano and Regier paid 3 million for him. So there are 3 million reasons why Timmy is going to get back into fighting shape. Too many "ifs" can kill a man and make you wonder all day long.
It looks like Connolly is taking his time getting back and that is fine with me. When he does get back - I have a feeling he's coming back better than ever.

everyone has this tendency to question Darcy's decisions...
than like 6 months - 1 year later everyone is praising his foresight.
they took a gamble with Connolly's recovery and ability to play if he returns. My guess is that Connolly will quarterback our playoff power play like he did last year.
Just think of that goal he had in Sabs v Sens Game 1...2 secs left or whatever.

i just hope that if they decide to bring him back, its AFTER the playoffs. with the salary cap, god forbid anyone get hurt with him activated we wouldn't be able to bring anyone up from rochester as replacements.
