I just got my tickets in the mail today to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. Should be fun out there, got a hotel room in downtown near Beale Street.
We play Houston, the Conference-USA champs, it should be a decent game, but I expect the Gamecocks to win with a pretty decent margin. This is a statement game to our possible recruits. Handily win the game, and it will make an impression on recruits. We are looking at a top ten recruiting class, first one since 2002.
Anyways, should be fun!! Where is everyone else headed?

Not yours truly but a co-worker of mine is heading up to Toronto for the International Bowl on January 6 - his wife and one of her brothers are graduates of Western Michigan who will be playing Cincinnati that afternoon. (Game time is 12:00 pm ET and will be televised on ESPN2.) So those three along with a few other family members will be attending the game. (I think he is trying to get some tickets for the Sabres-Leafs game that night too - I do know they are spending the weekend in Toronto.)
Hopefully come 2008, either University Of Buffalo or Syracuse University or hell both of them make the International Bowl (ok, stop laughing!) then I'll be able to attend the game. (If University Of Buffalo makes the MAC Championship Game and/or Motor City Bowl in Detroit one of these days, I'm definiately will be there!)
Have fun at the Liberty Bowl White Rabbit and BCS Title Game WXP, should you get to attend.

The wife and I are headed to the Cotton Bowl to see the Huskers. We went to the Alamo Bowl last year and had a great time. We only get to go to Husker Bowl games because my Alma Maters football team only plays in the toilet bowl every year. :)

Cool. I kind of wish the Peach bowl was delayed a day or two because that's going to be a great game. UGA vs. Va Tech is going to be a classic, I will definitely be somewhere watching that game. I would have loved to see that game live, Va Tech travels very well, and it will be electric in the Georgia Dome. It maybe one of the best games of the bowl season along with Michigan/USC and Florida/OSU. Then again, the LSU beat down of Notre Dame should be pretty entertaining.

I wanted so badly to go to the Texas bowl to see Rutgers play Kansas State. I had such a good time at the Insight Bowl in Phoenix last December. But family and financial obligations will keep me home this time. Budget gets a little different when you have a 6 month old baby. Next year.

I will be in Toronto for the International Bowl. I guess I will root for Western Michigan because they are the MAC school. But it would be great to see UB play in Toronto sometime, but seeing the Bulls can't win more then two games a year, it seems a ways off.
A buddy of mine is working on Sabres tickets that night too, so it could be a fun day in Toronto.

I was thinking about protesting outside of the National Championship game against the illegal involvement of Troy Smith in this game.
Just kidding but he still should be banned from college sports.

That BF jealousy strikes again.
Troy Smith was suspended, he appealed his suspension to the NCAA, the University imposed thier own suspension for two games, the appeal went through, the NCAA felt the 2 games was enough, Troy Smith was reinstated....
...Troy Smith goes on to become a fine, upstanding gentlemen, a hero in his hometown as well as Columbus, an inspiration to millions of underprivilaged youths from broken homes, and living in poverty, a heisman trophy winner, and soon to be national championship QB.....
...But you don't like that.... you'ed rather see Troy Smith living in the ghetto, making nothing of himself..... because of a mistake he made as a 20 year old kid.....
The jealousy is really stinknig up this thread. Crawl back in your hole.

That is the funniest post I've ever seen.
