A Canadian trucker who admitted running over an Essex County sheriff's deputy on the Northway last year has been sentenced to six months in jail.
Jacek Bujalski, 37, of Quebec, pleaded guilty Oct. 3 to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and keeping a false logbook and violations of driving on the shoulder of the road, failure to reduce speed for an emergency vehicle and unsafe lane changing.
But hey, he apologized, so killing a cop is OK in this book. The idiot hit a cop on the side of the road. Either he was falling asleep, getting head, or just an idiot. But he gets only 6 months? Next person I know wants a cop dead I'll just tell them to clip them on the side of the road, it's appparently acceptable there.
