ND is WAY overrated this year..... why are they top 10?

Charlie Weis is a horrible coach.....horrible playcaller, and does he even know whos plays any of the positions besides QB and Wr? Why are ND fans pumped to have this guy?

Zbikowski is a horrble Safety.....why is he rated anywhere near a first day pick? He's a crappy kick returner, he can't tackle, he can't stop the run, and he can't cover...... Like I've said before, he wouldn't be on the 2-deep for Ohio State, Michigan, USC, LSU, Florida, Arkansas, etc, etc, etc.....

I felt bad for Brady Quinn last night.

Everyone bends the rules. There are a few universities (and I use the term loosely with Ohio State) that just flat out cheat.

This is the stupidest post I've ever seen..... you want USC (reggie bush, 100K, cars, suits, hotels, salary to parents) to win because the Buckeyes are cheaters?

Beside, would you care to back up your "alegations....or is this just bitter loser talk from a fan orf a school thats sucks at everything?

USC was not involved in what happened with Reggie Bush. Hell it wasn't even a USC booster. It was an agent. So no USC didn't cheat.

Maurice Clarrett and others have outed Ohio State and just because they aren't character guys doesn't mean they are lying either. I believe them completely.

Yes....because they aren't charecter guys does mean they're lying..... and who are these "others"

Clarett says that while he was at Ohio State in 2002 and 2003 head coach Jim Tressel, as well as certain members of his staff and boosters, provided him with improper benefits. He says he covered up Tressel's improprieties during the NCAA investigation and afterward, Ohio State "blackballed'' him from the football program.

According to Clarett, Tressel arranged loaner cars for him and Tressel's brother, Dick, found him lucrative landscaping jobs that he did not even have to show up for. He says members of Tressel's staff also introduced him to boosters who'd slip him thousands of dollars, and the better he played, the more cash he'd receive. He says boosters eventually began inviting him into their homes or would meet him out in the community.

"When you'd leave, [the booster] sets you straight," Clarett told The Magazine. "They say, 'You got any money in your pocket?' They make sure your money's straight."

great.... so you still have no eveidence that OHIO STATE cheats.....a guy giving Troy Smith $500 isn't Ohio state cheating.....its Troy Smith making a mistake that he paid for and some guy being an *******......

The university didn't approve of these things, they didn't know about them at the time, and when they found out they handed out the proper discipline....

Ohio State, like every major university, has high profile athletes that are faced with this every day..... when they screw up Ohio State fixes the problem......

Jim Tressel setting up Maurice is certainly a University violation.

Face it. Ohio State has a long history of cheating. Their basketball team is very notorious as well. The NCAA just keeps slapping them on the wrist because of the money they bring in. It's that simple.

My disdain for Ohio State has nothing to do with Notre Dame at all. It's based on my growing disgust with college sports and teams like Ohio State who are nothing more than NFL prep schools.

I hate USC but I'll be cheering for them like they were my own team to beat Ohio $tate.

The one thing I must say I find odd about this message board is the obsession some of the Ohio State fans have w/ N.D. I mean the 2 schools are not even rivals on the field. I have friends that are fans of both of the schools and they could really care less about the other team

Someone want to fill me on this

That right there is a given. Coming from a team that is a rival to them I've come to the realization that no matter what ND will be the media darlings. The team is a cash cow and will always get favortism. Watch them get to play in the Rose Bowl against Mich even though there will be 6 other teams more deserving of it

It's called the richest tradition in college football. 11 National Titles, 7 Heisman winners, and countless All Americans. Ohio State falls short in all of those categories in comparison.

And once the Irish have a chance to recruit a little more defense the media will have a reason to talk about Notre Dame because they will be winning National Titles like they are going out of style with Charlie at the helm.

Bwahahahahahahaha!

Charlie Weis has been outcoached in every big game he's played......

Charlie Weis is a horrible coach.

Chance to recruit some defense? Tell why, exactly, a kid picking schools is gonna choose Notre Dame...a team that gets embarassed by relevant schools on national TV AT LEAST twice a year.....over a school like Ohio state, Michigan, USC, Florida, LSU, etc,etc......

Because of Charlie Weis..... possibly the worst gameday coach I;ve ever seen and a self-proclaimed jerk? Nope...sorry....

What would you classify as a "big game"? I can think of 5 of them they have had so far.

17-10 win over Michigan
34-31 loss to USC
34-20 loss to Ohio State
47-21 loss to Michigan
44-24 loss to USC

The 34-31 loss to USC should have been a win if the refs knew how to spot a football. The two losses this year and the loss to Ohio $tate in the Fiesta Bowl are no fault of Charlies. It's called a lack of athletes on defense. People that actually know the game understand this to be the case. Of course I wouldn't confuse people that know the game with anyone that roots for Cheater U.

a few things pop into my head

nd graduated tony rice and he couldn't read, congrats on that ND cares about its student athletes

nd has 7 different heisman winners, osu has 5 BUT osu has the only back to back heisman winner and has 6 heisman trophies about to be 7

excellent tradition

here is another ND tradition 9 straight bowl losses

nd has 8 national championships before 1950, and 3 since
