Perry's intros ice cream dedicated to Sabres

Top Shelf Sundae, a Perry's Ice Cream product with a Buffalo Sabres flavor, hit Western New York stores this week.

The newest addition to the lineup of the Akron-based company features thick fudge, fudge-coated cone pieces and chopped peanuts packaged in a container decorated with the National Hockey League club's colors and team logo. The name is a take-off on a catch-phrase used by Sabres' broadcaster Rick Jeanneret in reference to player scoring into the top of the net.


Perry's is designated this year as the "Official Ice Cream of the Buffalo Sabres." A portion of the proceeds from sales of the ice cream will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

This is the 2nd time Perry's did a tie in with the Sabres.
I remember growing up and eating their Sabres Sundae and All American Moose, featuring the Rochester Americans Moose.
Those flavors were always tough to find.
Good to see they they started doing this stuff again.
