Notes: Kolb is a 4 year starter and will leave Houston with most school and conference USA records and be near the top in many NCAA passing catagories. He has started 47 straight games, the longest streak in Division I-A. He has 16 300-yard passing games. Kolb ranks in the top four of every passing and total offense category in the history of Conference USA, including ranking first all-time in total offense (12,874 yards) and touchdowns responsible for (97). He ranks among the nation's best in several Division I-A active career leader categories including most passing yards.

Kolb will lead Houston to its third bowl game in four years this season, is 228-of-338 for 2,999 yards and 23 touchdowns with just three interceptions this season.

"He makes good decisions," SMU coach Phil Bennett said. "I can see a dramatic difference. He's not taking as many risks as he took a year ago."

Kolb has a quick release, good pocket awarness, good leadership abilities, experience ina pro style offense and has a strong arm capable of making all of the throws. He also shows good touch and timing in the short passing game.

The only question mark revolves around the level of competition he faces in Conference USA.

Bottom line is this kid may be the sleeper QB prospect in the draft. He would be a steel in the second or third round and could sneak up to the late first with a solid bowl game and post season.

he absolutely is the guy i want the bills to draft. I don't think he'll be a second or third rounder, but if there is enough buzz I'd feel great about him in the 3rd. I am in love with this kid

He had a solid game in the Conference USA championship (http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6229280)leading Houston to a 34 - 20 win. He went 19 of 31 passes for 258 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 TD rushing. He started a little shaky missing on a few deep passes that were open in the first half but more than made up for it in the second. He has a real quick release and makes good decisions. He likes to work out of the shotgun/ spread and shows some solid athletic ability. His speed was evident on a 46 yard TD run that turned momentum Houston's way in the second. He out ran the DBs on his way to the end zone. He also made a pass across his body that only a handful of NFL QBs could probably make.

Smart, good size, nice mobility, good leader, quick release and mobil. Oh and he has only thrown 3 ints all year and boasts an 8-1 TD to Int ratio. If I weren't so confident that Losman is on his way to be the Bills franchise guy, I would be lead the charge for this kid in the second round. I expect him to start rocketing up charts once the post season workouts begin.
