Bill Maher Tells Larry King That RNC Chair Ken Mehlman is Gay
Bill Maher was on with CNN’s Larry King Wednesday night ... Beyond his comments about President Bush, Maher told King: “A lot of the chiefs of staff, the people who really run the underpinnings of the Republican Party, are gay.” After King pressed Maher for names, Maher said, “Ken Mehlman”
King then questioned Maher’s sincerity: “I never heard that. I'm walking around in a fog. I never...Ken Mehlman? I never heard that. But the question is...”
Maher answered: “Maybe you don't go to the same bathhouse I do, Larry.”
THE WEST COAST FEED... King says..."But the question is..."
Maher answers..."“Maybe you don't go to the same bathhouse I do, Larry.”
Without any mention of Ken Mehlman at all.
[b]What is CNN doing with this sort of censorship?

Oh please don't do that because then shiva would want to have a date and then there would be an international incident. :D

I thought CNN was a respected news outlet. Free speach squashed on the west coast. The horror and atrocity of it all.

I saw that on CNN last night. We must have gotten the censored version...I don't think there was a name mentioned, but come on, I knew exactly who he was talking about.

I'm not surprised their gay. When you have all the money and power ect. they resort to extremes to get off in a sick way. Just read about what goes on at Bohemian Grove.

It's not about the gayness... it's about the censorship.

They're probably trying to minimize the lawsuit. Should hey have cut his name the first time? If it was my job to safegaurd the company, I would have cut it all together. They do get to decide the content of their own shows after all.

Even live? and only to half the country? That doesn't minimize lawsuits one bit. Shoulda 7 seconded it or left it as is. They lost credibility by hacking the left coast feed.

As long as you remain in your Utopian bubble with plenty of generic windex and one ply tissues to wipe the bleeding from your heart as not to obstruct the view your poor and down trodden... I stand corrected.

Bill Maher is awesome.
He's the antithesis of PC so naturally the Republicans hate him despite the fact that he voted for Bob Dole in 1996 & backed John McCain in 2000.
Nothing pisses off the right-wing like a person who thinks independently.

you can't just go on TV and call anyone you want gay. If it's in a clear joking manner you might get away with it but on a news show like larry king? That doesn't fly.

you know not that i care at all if ken bud melman is gay but the issue really is whether it was a joke or not. i didnt hear it nor any of the context around it but as a joke it would just be outrageous and not really offensive imo
if it was not a joke the next question is does mehlman rail against gays. if so then hes a conflicted hypocrite and should be outed. if not then mahr is a jackass opportunist
we will probably have the answers shortly
btw - a lot of the mods, the people who really run the underpinnings of bbi, are gay. no names but their initials are jro. maybe you dont go to the same wifi cafe i do

Why not? There's nothing wrong with being gay is there?
Get me a spot on Larry King and I'll call every college Republican gay.
Including your bud Evan.

I don't know why, but it always makes me happy seeing people come out. I can't imagine how draining that must be on a person's soul to have to constanlty ignore and hide something as powerful as your own sexuality. It's such a powerful force in all of our lives. It has to be so relieving to finally come out and start actually living your life the way it was meant to be lived. Like being reborn or something. George has a lot of shit he's going to have to live up to before he checks out, but i think when he does admit to being homosexual there will still be a small part of me happy for him.

It must be difficult to be privately part of a group that you oppress in public.but "outing" someone is the REAL crime, shiva.
not the anti-gay legislation you help push forward.
